    Don't forget cashback.

  • $10 cheaper than coles special.

    • +1

Coles is worth the extra if you need international calls but I can't see it for $99.

      • +1

I got 2 of those but if I can just switch to catch I would. I don’t need the international calling, just the cheapest 365 plan with a reasonable amount of data.

  • Does it includes international calls

    • No

  • Hi, im currently on amaysim which is also on optus network. Is there an issue to move from one operator to another on optus network?
    Thanks

    • Never had issues

    • Nope…never ..

  • Thanks OP I get this deal for my daughter every year.

Says offer ends 24/1/23 'unless withdrawn earlier' her contract expires on the 27/1 so here's hoping I can get it on the last day or two..

    • Do you port out and in or use it as a recharge? Just wondering because it says new customers only

      • Oh I didn't see that bit, must have used a special for new/existing last year.

        • +4

Just got a 25% off offer via the app on my mrs’s phone if you checks auto renew. Come to $90 for this deal for existing customers. She has 3 weeks left till the end of her 365 plan. Might wanna check the app or your account on the website. Offer may also be there for you

          • +2

@zemphism: I nearly missed out on this for my renewal in a few weeks time. Wife's account was set to receive marketing material and she got the 25% off notice. Mine wasn't checked for marketing material and I didn't get the offer. Went back and checked the box to receive marketing material (gotta do what ya gotta do sometimes) and within a matter of hours got the 25% recharge notice.

  • I'm happy with catch but I need existing customer deals

    • +2

Just port out & back again.

      • Wouldn't they compare name and address or credit card and determine you not a "new customer"?

        • +1

You would need to ask Coles Mobile how long you need to be ported out to be considered a new customer.
          Usually it's 30 days.

          • @WatchNerd: By today's rule could be a day, by tomorrow's new rule, never - at their whim.

            • @AlexF: Sorry I meant Catch Connect, not Coles.

              • +1

@WatchNerd: Some point though - rules at their whim. ColesMobile support says as long as number has been ported out, a new SIM activation will be considered a new service - even 1 day later.

              • @WatchNerd: And Kogan mobile, at least one month after then be consider "the new customer".

        • T&C's say "New services only."

I think that's a clue? Technically any porting to Catch is a new service, even if you ported away recently?

Port away with this Boost deal then port back in a month…

    • when it was time to renew my existing 365 plan back in july, they offered another year's renewal for $89. pretty good i reckon

  • Is catch egiftcard accepted on Catchconnect? Thanks

    • +1

Try using the gift cards via Catch instead of through Catch Connect but you don’t earn cashback if purchasing via Catch

      • +1

        Thanks a lot!

  • Can you buy 2 with 2 different accounts?

  • Same or better than boost for coverage?

    • +3

Depends where you live. For me Boost is better since it uses the Telstra network. For others Optus could be better.

    • Depends on your location.

    • Different - Boost is on full Telstra network

  • Kogan is much better atm, 100gb is $99 (less if using gift cards), if you have good coverage that is a better deal.

    • Is Kogan Optus or Telstra?

      • Is Kogan Optus or Telstra?

        Vodafone

  • I remember there was a $69 deal….

    • Wasn't Catch Connect then. Unless I'm blind I just checked all 6 pages of Catch Connect deals and didn't see it.

    • +1

      Nice.

  • any good budget telstra prepaids besides boost. my 12 month is about to expire

    • +1

Belong can be good value depending on needs and how you tackle it

    • woolworth mobile,$150 365, 10% off every month for one transaction.

  • Can’t see eSIM option anywhere…

    • It’s magic isn’t it — the eSIMs live inside the phone, and are entirely invisible to the naked eye

      • +1

And just like magic they appear as an option on the product page when a carrier supports the protocol

      • +2

Cute but unhelpful… Catch Connect seems physical SIM only service.

    • +1

out of the MVNO's, only Vodafone MVNO's support currently e-sim. so Kogan and Lebara. vodafone & optus directly also have a decent prepaid plan. ACC grumbling means Optus and Telstra need to allow it "soon" for their MVNO's but no idea how long.

      • +5

Amaysim (Optus Network) and Woolworths Mobile (Telstra network) support esim. I would guess there a number of other MVNOs with those carriers that also support it.

        • Awesome. Thanks for the info. Been wanting to sign up to woolies (or any telstra mvno) but they didn't have esim last time I checked. Time to switch!

  • Can I use Catch GC for cashback?

  • Does VoLTE with a Poco F3 work on Catch?

    • +1

      Amaysim (Optus) currently support VoLTE.

It’s a new feature for Amaysim but it’s compelled but 3G being decommissioned ie all carriers are going to have to support it.

Pretty fair bet if Amaysim have VoLTE then other Optus MVNOs have it too.

  • +15

You can get it for $81.88 if you buy a $89 gift card from here with 8% off (discount code at top of the page) and then purchase this plan from the catch website (rather than the catch connect website).

  • +3

Nowhere near last month's Amaysim sim offer $60 60GB 365 day which also accompanied $10 CB too. It's Christmas TELCOs, come on, give us at least better deals than Black Friday!

  • Does catch use tracking for these SIM cards?
I ordered one and received an email last week saying it’s on its way but can’t see anyway to track it.

    • +1

      Does catch use tracking

      Not in my experience.

I’d say free shipping is probly always gonna be standard envelope no tracking

  • -1

Can you buy the SIM in a shop or supermarket anywhere or is it only available via post? Don't want to wait until mid-next week for it to arrive if I don't have to!

Also why no shipping to PO Boxes Catch? I prefer not to get valuable mail sent to our letter box.

  • My Boost Mobile is expiring next week, I am tempted by the current $120/120gb deal with Catch Connect but wondering if there will be a drop in quality of service? Anyone who has swapped from Boost/Telstra to Catch? fwiw, I'm based metro Melbourne.
    Cheers

  • Another question..
Can you port out from another Optus provider like Amaysim to Catch Connect?
    Any issue with doing that?
