    You're better off buying 2 x MW12s for a little more

      You might be right as MW12s are actually tri band. MW3, 5 and 12s are all dual band (meaning it shares the bands, basically a repeater that mastered how to appear like a mesh!)

        Yeah, I had MW5s, then upgraded to MW12s, and then to TP-Link X68.

          On MW3. Wondering whether to go MW6 or go for Tri band. Only on FTTC 50/20.

            @netjock: Chalk and cheese going from the Tenda systems to the X68. Tri-band with WiFi-6 is so good.

  This is actually a decent, no-frills entry into mesh. I replaced my ageing nighthawk with a couple of these, and it has improved both range and latency considerably. Set up a second mesh at my parents with the other two units. Not too shabby for what I paid (I think it was $120ish delivered some time last year). The Tenda wifi app is downright useless though, and one of the major barriers to properly setting up these units.
