If it's for Xbox credit, it'll work on hardware. Any timed vouchers (1mth, 3mth etc) won't work for hardware.
Yeah it's just that in shopback gift cards, iirc they sell xbox credit, Xbox live and Xbox gold gift cards. Only one of the gift cards they sell has a logo that states it works on hardware. So i thought there must be some difference between the three cards.

@Movember20: Xbox/MS credit works on any software/hardware in their online stores. AFAIK the only thing it won't work on is custom controllers from the Design Lab.
@ashanrath: That's provided it is actually credit. Shopback for example sells three types of xbox gift card, only one of which clearly states it works on hardware.
I didn't want to buy this deal then find out the Xbox live card didn't work like account credit.
Shopback does not state that the Xbox Live card can be used for hardware. Confusing mess.

You can do it right now but the swap won't affect cashback.
You've already paid for the gift card so you can swap it now or later, won't make a difference.
Can we combine multiples of these gift cards and convert it into a large EBGames gift card?

Has been down for at least 2 hours already. I've come across the same issue a couple times recently and by the time it came back online the deals had ended.
