  Was considering Sony since I have a PS5 and a Sony TV but the rtings site seems to really love Samsung soundbars (seriously, almost every Samsung soundbar scores 8 or higher) so I went for a Q800B for ~$500.

      I was worried about that since it's a different brand but earc works flawlessly. I press one button on my PS5 and both the TV and soundbar turns on. I turn off my PS5 and the soundbar turns off though the TV takes 15 minutes to turn off via 'idle'. It annoys me that I have to wait but I can't seem to find a solution lol.

        What about the power button on the remote? That seems like a easy solution.

      I've the X9000H and the HT-A7000 soundbar. Both are great together. The only downside is the HT-A7000 doesn't do VRR pass through between my PS5 and TV. So I have the PS5 go direct to the TV and do an out from the TV to the soundbar. Would have been nice to stick with PS5 direct to sound bar, though.

      Not sure if the other Sony sound bars like the one in this bargain do pass through of VRR or not. Worth checking, though.
