  • Proof??? Cause i tried this about 2 hours ago in 2 different stores…
Tested it out and was advised that cause it was part of a special and not their everyday price then they wont beat it. Also got told that someone also tried to price match with Amazon earlier and its the same deal. cause its part of boxing day special then its an instant no.

      That is a poor excuse

You got dudded. Bunnings price match specials, not just everyday prices. (otherwise evewhere would be RRP). They don't match clearance or trade but this is neither.

Pretty poor excuse from the stores you went to. Receipt here

      • Nice work. Sorry to be a prick about it but i was legit interested to see if anywhere else did it.
Either way decided to just buy off ebay from first persons post. Gonna return the one i bought today and at least get the $50 off.

        • Nah no worries at all!

Sounds like you had an unfortunate experience at the 2x Bunnings stores you went to, but glad you ended up getting it via the above comment!

Swear to god some of these Bunnings gimps act like it’s their money they’re giving away. Do the price match guy, help out your fellow member of society with some cash saving. Copped the same attitude trying to price match a Sonos over $10 at jb hi fi

    • I have had the same issue in the past..

Email Bunnings online team. They will provide an online order for you.

No where does Bunnings price beat policy state 'Every day' price. But they use it as an excuse.

  • where are the 3 series discounts?

  • +1

Dont buy these. You can erase all the stored footage on the hub, from the camera outside itself. Its pointless.

It seems to have security issues

      https://www.channelnews.com.au/eufy-cameras-exposed-chinese-…

"The reality is that there is no encryption and that by using a free VLC Media player coupled with a unique address Eufy’s cloud servers can be accessed by Eufy staff and Chinese security services as well as hackers and people with a little knowledge about IT systems."

"Eufy’s encryption key for its video footage is literally a plaintext string “ZXSecurity17Cam@”.

That phrase also appears in a GitHub repo from 2019, too."

    Online security not included

    • Legitimate question, what alternative would you recommend?

Most I find either require a subscription fee for cloud based services or are incredibly expensive.

It's tough one. The reason it's such a controversy is there marketing actively says that it's not cloud base and it's all local, which is just an outright lie

      • Interested in this as well.

Seems to be very few options that aren't subscription based or cost an arm and a leg. I guess some of the Swan like systems are always an option but the reviews for them seem to range from terrible to mixed at best

While I agree they really messed up their marketing by stating footage/images are on your local devices only, it never made any sense to me to think no cloud based environment would not be used to send push notifications to your phones with thumbnails.

I guess a lay person would have to trust their marketing, and it should be stated cloud services will be used if you want to take full advantage of their features.

Avoiding them entirely is a bit of a stretch. The product is good. I’ve been using them for years now without issue in comparison to other brands.
Plus it sounds like they are taking some additional precautions with cloud push services by means of encryption (which I’ll say should have been done in the first place).

  • I remember last year for bunning store, I tried to price match camera with online site like amazon and they said we can't match anything that doesn't have physical store

  • Bunnings Price policy

Our lowest prices policy means that if you find a competitor's lower price (including GST and delivery charges) on the same in-stock item that's available for same-day delivery or collection, we'll beat it by 10%. This excludes trade quotes, stock liquidations, commercial quantities and Marketplace products.

Our Price Policy also applies online to products sold by Bunnings. Please contact Customer Support at [email protected] to process the price guarantee and place your order.

  • I emailed [email protected] at 8am on Boxing Day to price match and still haven’t received a reply.

    • 1st rule about price matching: Don't Email

  • Didn’t want to go to a store while Covid positive.

  • Is there a way to still get this at $492?

  • waiting for the ring cam 4pk with solar to go under $500
