This price from Bing Lee appears to be quite a bit lower than other retailers at the moment. Looks like lots of stores have stock, though postage is $6 if you need it. Maybe this will help someone. Was posted about three weeks ago for quite a bit less ($219), but it's back in stock now.

Also, on their eBay and for those willing to wait you can get another $20/$40 off from Shop Back Deal

This code also brings it down to $255.55 (PLUSDEC1)

Otherwise, $269 unlocked from Amazon via XtremeOnline (Australian Telstra Stock

(Some people have discounted GCs for Amazon/eBay)

    • Would the Telstra version be locked to the Telstra mobile network.

      • It states unlocked in the seller's description

"Wireless carrier Unlocked for All Carriers"

  • Is this the best phone in this kind of price range? Or better off elsewhere. Looking for snappiness and reliability (as much as can be expected at this price of <$300)

4G, lower specs throw-away 128GB phone I will be aiming around $150 or less, if it's branded +$20 to +$50
I believe sometime you could even get 5G phones at this price

Just wanted to point out that the A13 doesn’t have NFC which you would expect all phones in this day and age to have this feature.

    • No NFC at this price is pretty crap. I'd look elsewhere personally.

Moto and Oppo have some decent spec models around the same price.

    • I got the $279 Motorola G51 5G from JB Hi-fi and it seems much better in every way except it's Android 12 and the A13 will get/has Android 13.

  • Is there a 5G variant on sale?

    • There is an A13 5G model but it retails for $369 and in my opinion it's not worth the price even but this model has NFC. It even only has 4GB of RAM. In my opinion now a days you would want at least a phone with 6GB of RAM when it comes to Android 12 or 13.

You can get say an Oppo 5G phone with NFC phone for less. Example.

      • Forget about that Oppo phone. It's only 4G.

        • Still decent specs. I've had a 5g phone for ~18 months and still havent used 5g.

          • 6.5" IPS LCD display with a resolution of 2412 x 1080.
          • Dual 50 MP/2 MP rear camera with 10 x digital zoom and 1080@30 FPS video, and 16 MP front facing camera.
          • 8 GB of RAM.
          • 128 GB storage capacity with a Micro SD slot that allows up to 1 TB of storage.
          • Android 11 / Color OS 11.1 operating system.
          • Qualcomm SDM 680 processor.
          • Connections via 4G, WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and USB-C.
          • Simply connect to the network using a nano-SIM.
          • 2 year warranty.
          • @Duff5000: Yeah same here. I've had a 5g phone for some time but i can only get 4G through Kogan Mobile. So it doesn't matter.

I feel like at this price you could pay a bit more and get a much better phone. A33 5G with NFC etc. has been $350 before.

    • I think you can get a good phone even with another brand. For example the Oppo A96 5G is $318 at Officeworks. Has every thing incuding NFC and a Snapdragon chipset.

      • Edit: sorry i mistakenly thought the Oppo A96 was a 5G phone. It's only 4G. My error.
