Seems to be the best price ever on these models.

    • Cheapest I've seen them

      • why "CS" ??
        what's next?

        • +4

          CS:GO

        • C2 (Already a thing)

        • C "Special"?
          C2 processing/frame with a C1 OLED panel.

Good buy for this price though! Considering the 55.

  • +1

Pretty much no Pickup stock SE Vic

  • +1

When you think it can't get any lower…

    • +4

In my opinion, both Black Friday and Boxing day sales were pretty underwhelming. You will probably find a lot of deals where companies will like to move unsold stock from those sales at a lower price.

      • How is this underwhelming?

        • +15

Today is NOT Boxing day mate.

        • +6

Negging me won't change the fact.

      • +4

It's going to be interesting to see what LG does, these are great prices but at the end of the day the CS was to use up their excess C1 panel stock, so while they have been running these CS models out the door during BF and boxing day sales it means they presumably haven't been moving the C2 in the numbers they normally would. So are these CS models going to get cheaper in the March April period when suppliers begin running out old stock to make way for the new models (given they will be 2 generations old by about June). Are they also going to need to drop their C2's significantly to clear stock, they might end up releasing a new CS model with C2 panel and upgraded processor.

        • Yes, would be interesting to see what they decide to do with C2 pricing. Also, I think rising global interest rates and fiscal tightening of the economies might have some effect on discretionary spending resulting in lower sales. Which will bring prices further down next year in my opinion.

          • @dealhunter52: @Bargainian and @donkcat , based on your experience and observations, do you reckon during March April sales the price on LG CS 77 inch will go down below 3800AUD?

            • @Arsenal147: Can't say for 100%, but it is expected. If not in Mar/Apr, then most likely in Jun/July 2023.

This is still pretty good price though.

              • +1

@dealhunter52: I just bought it for 3800AUD (after negotiating the price in store) with 10% off ultimate gift card (3420 in total). After reading your discussion I felt like I just rushed and made mistake. Since TV is not delivered yet should I cancel it and wait for couple of months? I am not in rush :)

                • @Arsenal147: Mate, that's pretty awesome deal you got there. I wouldn't even have second thoughts and buy it in a heartbeat.

  • +1

I really want that 55” around that $1000-1100 mark (as I really don’t need it).
    Will it happen..?

    • +4

For ~$400 more, you won't regret it. Also framing of the TV makes a big difference, I saw one of these on a floor stand vesa mounted, it looked kinda small, but on a tall TV unit right at the front, it looks like a proper TV.

Or just get the 65 even.

    • +1

ahah im waiting for the 83" to get to the $5000 mark with the same reason as you

      • +2

You guys are keeping our economy going. The real MVPs

    • -2

Philips 804 oled 55" was $1000 in Nov. Much better OS imo.

    • +2

I bought my C7 65-inch OLED a little over five years ago before there were any significant deals on them, and still looks amazing today. No regrets.

At these prices they are bloody amazing.

  • +4

$1394 for the 55" at Powerland eBay delivered to VIC

    • +1

      $132.76 delivery to Canberra 🤮

      • Omg 🥶😭

      • Showing $35 for 55”
        $55 for 65”
        $1,000 for 77”

        For Illawarra

    • I bought at this price! Some drama that I had to create a new ebay account to do so, but worth it!

    • I am seeing it at $1449 at Powerland delivered to NSW. How did you get the $1,394?

      • 10% off with the ebay plus code

  • +3

This is superior to the C1, but worse than the C2, right?

From what I've gathered, it's pretty much a C1 with a better processor?

    • +3

      You are correct.

      • how noticeable is the difference between C1, C2 and CS?

        • I don't know but reviews say there is nothing major. It's like 10% in max brightness difference or so.

    • +1

I thought there are pros and cons, it's not that simple. Happy to be educated.

    • Worse is a bit strong.. for 95% of people they could not tell..

    • +1

Same panel as C1 and same width as the C1 case I think. Both C1 and CS are marginally wider than the C2 (5mm). But has the same processor as C2.
From reports, the C2 is up to 10% brighter, but that kind of difference is really only noticeable, if at all, in high HDR.

I would like to know the diff in a well lit room.

  • -2

Wanted CS or C2 but decided to go with Samsung The Frame 65” coz Matte screen makes huge difference, no reflection of lights + hanging up wall looks amazing. The Frame 65” is currently on sales too for $600 less RRP, bit cheaper than 55”

    • +5

Not really a fair comparison, OLED has a much better picture BUT in saying that, the Frame's matte screen is awesome, I was surprised just how good it was haha

    • +5

You know 'the frame' is not an OLED right?

      • +1

I know that, and happy with Samsung Quantum Dot LED LCD anyway, cant get Matte screen anywhere else except Samsung’s 2022 Frame series

        • +1

Got both and depends on what you want the tv for , we have the frame in living room and it looks great as a picture frame but it's really underwhelming in comparison to c1 for picture quality , gaming and so forth which we have in the cinema room

    • Where? I can’t see 65 cheaper

      • search in retailers or Samsung website :), currently on sales for 65” at $1995

        • 65" is $1780 at VP.

          55" is still cheaper, $1650. 50" cheaper still $1188. And so forth…

    • +3

Lol, The Frame isn’t in the same league for picture quality.

It’s fine, but you’re paying a premium for the flush mounting (just as you do with the LG G2 series) over a regular Samsung LCD.

    • How much for the samsung frame 65"?

      • 65" is $1780 at VP.

        • I purchased 75" Sony x90j for $3500 n thot it was a good deal. These Samsung frames are impressive. Wish I bought it instead. How's the OS? Reason I like Sony is Google TV OS.

          • @Bargain-er: I don’t have one, currently looking for TV upgrade and also an artist so like the idea of displaying works, although don’t know about using electricity and leaving on all the time, I suppose you could walk timer from 6am to midnight or something

    • +5

Samsung tho and not even an OLED. It is like saying you wanted a Tesla but then you went and bought a Honda motorbike.

    • Sorry to break it to you but that matte screen is reflecting those lights.

In fact it’s reflecting more light than an OLED would.

    • -1

I am with you, after getting used to computer monitor and projector, can't go back to a screen without Full Screen Anti Reflection.

  • Nice

  • Hmm tempted to cancel my Harvey purchase and get this.

Would GG match this eBay price instore?

    • +1

      Wouldn't bet on it

    • +1

I'd give it a shot, last time the GG price-matched their own ebay store with a coupon for me; but that was for a delivery order

    • +1

They would only do down to $1510 for me but got the $100 store credit so worked out better overall (need some other stuff soon)

    • +1

Yes, I just called GG and got the 65'' price matched. I'm going to pay with the ultimate gift card.

      • I just called and tried. They told me no because the tv is apparently already selling below cost price or some bs. I might call again, otherwise I'm going to just buy through eBay. 2200 delivered is pretty damn good

        • +2

I really hate how inconsistent companies are when price matching things like this. Works flawlessly for some people, and others aren't so lucky, doing the same thing. Go figure.

          • +1

@tikeyike: I called them back and got a lady who was really helpful. Was able to match 2146.50 for the 65" CS.

I have to go in-store to pay though because I'll be using 3 gift cards.

Purchased them through Smart Rewards employee portal. 5% off. So total is 2091.90 with delivery included.

            • +1

@brokeneither: Yeah nice. I was just whinging at the fact that you might need to call up multiple times just to get things price matched. Different customer reps say different things.

Anyways, enjoy your new OLED TV 😎🤙

            • @brokeneither: Thanks for sharing! Would you please share the receipt once you get it? I called GG today, and they said they can't match the price with coupon. T_T

        • +1

Have you tried calling the store? I’ve Chatswood NSW and Artarmon NSW, both can do price match. https://files.ozbargain.com.au/upload/267002/100654/9d7cf878…

I finally ordered Samsung S95B instead, Artarmon GG offered $2399 for it

      • How many gift cards did you use. And do you know the maximum limit..?

        • I used 5* $500 Ultimate Home, not sure if there is a limit

    • Definitely not

    • +1

Not only did they honour the last eBay deal of $2,280 (65”) on Boxing Day for me, but I went in this morning and showed them this deal and they refunded me the difference.

  • +3

I don't have eBay plus but was curious, turns out I got offered a yearly subscription for $4.99 which left me no choice but to get this.

    • +4

I got the same thing. Jumped on it. Bargain af

      • +1

Where is that offered? In app or browser on eBay website? My sub expired months ago and I’m waiting for an offer for a cheaper year of EBay Plus but never get offered anything.

        • +1

I did it through the eBay app. Went to the eBay plus section from the menu. Gave me the offer

  • -3

    I mean isn't it better to put 4 x 55 together for 6k?

65 - 77, its double the price. LOL
    Double 65: for 4k

I guess it doesnt look good

    • +9

Might want to get your head checked, you’re talking nonsense.

  • Will oled tv has screen burn in issue?

    • +1

      This isn't 2010.

      • +2

Does it mean there is burn in issue in 2022?

        • +1

I'm keen to know. CRT still had burn in issues towards the end of it's life.

          • +3

@krisspy: From what I read the burn in issue is due to some pixels ‘age’ quicker than others when constantly being lit longer and brighter than others.

      • +1

Severe burn-in happened to my folk's 2017 65G7. Linus' 2020 CX also suffered with burn-in. No idea why you're going back to 2010 during the days of plasma when oled wasn't available.

        • +2

I’m on my 3rd oled due to burn in.

I forget the model of the 1st one; the second one was a gx.

          I’m now on g2

    • Just don’t watch FTA. You don’t end up with the logos in the same spot all the time.

You will also become more intelligent by avoiding the ads.

    • +1

Yes it will eventually get burn in, all panels will eventually as the pixels wear. Does it matter? No, as LG replace all panels for burn in anyway

      • ? Does LG replace burn in panels while the TVs are under or even 2 years outside warranty period? I think there is only 1 year warranty for LG TVs.

        • I’ve seen 5 year old ones replaced

  • +1

Just here to tell you all that I'm very happy with the CS. The price for that 77 inch is awesome.

  • -3

how can I get it under a grand?

    • Get lucky with a second hand C1 maybe?

      • I was nearly going to buy a 4 years old used OLED 55” C1 with burn in screen for $500.

        • C1 can't be 4 years old..

          • @BugsBunnyAUS: Sorry I thought C1 was the first few gens and assumed it was C1 as the seller did not mention the model but only stated it was 4 years old. Could the newer model not to have burn in issue anymore?

  • Wow that's cheap! Seems like all time low
