  Just buy cheap thinner carbon steel woks, the whole point of a wok is to heat up and cool down quickly so you can quickly adjust the temperature of the food. Food also sticks to stainless steel more.

  My 30 dollar wok is 10 years old and still going strong. Just do the whole heat up wok really hot, turn off heat, add cold oil, swirl around then back on heat to have a lovely nonstick surface.

  I bought a $30 carbon steel wok 36cm locally.
  Been the best purchase ever, seasoned it properly and it’s ridiculously non stick.
  Can crack an egg into it and swish it around.
  Highly recommend

      Yeah I went into a kitchen wholesale store, like what they sell to chefs and kitchens I guess.

      But plenty of carbon woks for around the same price.

      Highly recommend and just follow a YouTube video on how to season it
