I ordered one of these a week or so ago, shortly afterwards they went out of stock. Saw that people were asking for 32GB cards in another recent deal, checked and they were back in stock at the same price. Cheapest I found on staticice was $38, didn't bother with shopbot.

Memorycity has them for $34.95 at the moment too so if mymemory.co.uk run out, go to memorycity.com.au and get one from there :) FREESHIP might even still work to get the shipping for nix.

    • rec'd an email from MyMemory 2 days ago.. but ive already got the Samsung class 10! too late!

tried to get my frd to get it overseas but he was told that Sandisk recalled those class 10s. Dunno if its BS or not.

foobar! test yours out once you have rec'd it!

      • I plan to give it a bit of a flogging when it arrives, will google for the recall, if it did happen there must be info kicking around about it.

Edit: Can't see anything, at first it did look like there might have been one but it turns out it was a product called 'rapid recall'.

  • Thanks jumped on this immediately

  • Are the random read/write speeds any good on these cards?

    • I'd happily do a test for you but mine hasn't arrived as yet. There's not a lot more info on the sandisk website either - http://www.sandisk.com/products/mobile1-memory-products/sand…

Just the standard "up to 30MB/s" rhetoric. I think most of these cards produce far lower numbers for random read/writes but the ultra cards from SanDisk are probably the best of the bunch at present.

Nice price for the brand and speed. Honest question, any idea why phones can cost $100-200 extra to go from 16 -> 32gb when prices like these are available?

    • As long as people are willing to pay the extra $$$, Apple/Samsung/etc will keep maintaining that price gap. e.g. The Nexus 7 16GB costs Google/Asus an extra $7.50 to build than the 8GB version, but they charge $50 more. Welcome to capitalism :)

they've learnt a trick or two from apple

      • Capitalism is actually working very well for those that buy the 8GB version. Google is making next to no profit on that model (probably a loss in the US where it sells for $199 and the manufacturing cost alone is $159) so those buying the 16GB version are actually making the entire line financially viable.

    • because they can, especially when a microsd slot is not provided and it is the only way to increase the phones capacity

  • Bought one, thanks.
Can anyone comment on mymemory's delivery times to Aus?

    • It should take about 10 days based on other items we get from the UK.

      • Arrived today. Cheers.

        • Mine took a bit longer than expected but arrived and is fine, tested with H2testw and passed no problems at all.

        • Error writing file 'G:\1.h2w', offset 0x0.
It is still possible to verify the test data written up to this point.
(Data error (cyclic redundancy check). Code 23)
          Writing speed: 0.00 KByte/s
          H2testw v1.4

          Failed :(
Has anyone gone through replacement with mymemory.co.ok?

        • Have you got another card reader you can try it in? I've got a 3.5" bay mounted $6 cheapie card reader from china that plays up merry hell when doing a H2testw run but the same cards in a USB card reader are fine.
