        Haha I’ve talked to a few friends and they’ve said the same thing. It’s the end of a round the world flight so wanted to try somewhere that’s not SE Asia. Seems I picked the wrong place haha

      Yeah, jump on a train and leave. I was there a few months back and you could barely breathe, the air pollution is really bad. Suggest using Air Visual app to pick the days you want to leave the hotel if you stay.

      Otherwise, in a week you can train down to Jaipur for a few days, across to Agra and then back, all comfortably in a week. You can also hire Enfields out of Delhi and head north on a motorbike tour of the Himalayas. Need more than a week for that though.

      Not sure if you already know, weather won't be very nice in July in New Delhi, it will be very humid. Best time to travel New Delhi would be last of Sep - Nov starting
      Or somewhere in March

      May, June and July is too humid and harsh summer. Better plan Feb or OCT.

      Northern side is beautiful and temperature will be around 20’s. Google Manali, Shimla and Uttarakhand stays. And no pollution either.

      You should catch a flight back home the moment you land. Or head to the mountains tbh.

      lots to do in new delhi
      get a taxi for the day and visit humayuns tomb, bahai lotus temple, qatab minar and iron pillar, Akshardham temple, Raj Ghat, go inside a minaret at the jama masjid and get a great view of old delhi (cost for non indians), red fort.
      shopping etc
      do an overnight trip to see the greatest monument to love ever created by a man, the taj mahal

      Everything in India is "close" so you could even go to spots like Goa for $200+ odd flights or $80+ train return. If you don't go out to the rural areas, you can get most of what you get over here. So you could probably do a luxury hotel stay in Delhi or go out to a good hill station/mountain retreat. Then spend a few days at tourist spots.

      It's owned and operated by Singapore Airlines. Safety is fine.

      Good is subjective, it's a budget carrier like Jetstar is to Qantas (for example) so it's no frills sort of service (e.g. buy meals etc)

      My wife went via scoot as she wanted to land in Amritsar. She said the services were excellent. Clean new plane. The services offered are pretty black and white (buy meals, infotainment etc) I went on Qantas, first trip post covid and I feel air travel has changed now with all the luxury is gone. Plane-ordinary, food-ordinary (no lavish food trays that we received pre covid). For economy, I would simply treat air travel now as means to go from A to B with only expectation that the flight does not get delayed.
