You fail to mention that it is + shipping $13.20 for me and plus tax $7.20 please amend your listing Reported

    • Plus tax? Don’t all Australian stores have to include GST in the advertised price?

    • I think you're reading it wrong. It's $60 + $12 (shipping) ex GST. Their site should say including tax of $7.20.

Here's what I got when entering an order to a random address in Melbourne:

        Cart Subtotal $66.00
        Shipping - Shippit Method - Standard - $3.11
        Tax $6.28
        Order Total $69.11

So yes, their prices are GST incl: $66 (incl $6 GST) for the product; $3.11 (including $0.28) for shipping; total $69.11 (including $6.28 GST).

    how is this a bargain?

  • +2

How does this compare to omo, cold, dynamo which can be seen as cheap as $4/kg

    • +4

      It's more expensive

I prefer the Eucalyptus over the lemon myrtle scent which is even cheaper at $50.01 + shipping for 8kg. Been using it for a few years now and it is by far the best washing powder we have used at our house.

As per kg price, Euca only use 20grams for a front loader wash cycle. And since each brand of washing powder have different dosages you cant compare just kilo price, need to compare wash cycle price. So 8kg (front loader) would get you 400 washes with Euca. The scoop that comes with Euca is 40grams so remember to only use half a scoop or buy the smaller 20g scoop as extra.

For comparison a 6kg box of OMO claims to do 136 washes, so that equals to 44 grams per cycle.

I'll be honest i never look at the box, i just have the same small cup for all powder and put the same amount 1 to 2 scoops so to me it is price/kg
I've been doing it for years and my mothers been doing it for her whole life going by scoops not what the label says

        • +4

Sounds like you've been doing it wrong all yours and your mothers life if you aren't willing to look on the box at the suggested amount per wash. You should be calculating how many washes instead and dividing the purchase price by that.

Need to share my experience with Euca, which is it's the best laundry powder for our top loader I have found. Best thing is it has no fillers, so you don't get that grainy white crud on clothing.

This doesn't seem like that great a deal when its $65 for 10 Kg of the Eucalyptus at Mitre 10

  • Their dishwashing powder works great also and is also economical at 15c a load. Their prices go up on Feb 1st, so order before then and also use a Euca Referral Code for $5 off your purchase.
