Dune Soft Cooler Tote Bag Grey $59 (Free Club Membership Required) + $7.99 Delivery ($0 C&C/ $99 Order) @ Anaconda

I'm in the market for a cooler bag and saw this on sale. Reviews look okay though probably isn't the 30 can claimed capacity unless they used red bull cans.

RRP is $149 though it appears the previous sale price was $99.

Also on sale is the hard lined version and backpack

I have one of these and it has made an excellent cooler for beach and park trips.
The insulation is way better than most of the bags we compared it to.

It's very narrow and quite rigid, I couldn't imagine fitting 30 cans into it.

For anyone wanting something a little wider, the hard-walled version (also linked in main post) could be your match. The soft-walled one was out-of-stock near me so I've grabbed the hard-walled one for $89 w/coupon.

    • how many big bottles of soft drinks would you say it can hold (if at all)?

Thanks OP! Good find. I’ve been looking around for a deal on the Yeti equivalent for a while but they never go on sale. At this price, I couldn’t say no to this.

Anyone got any good recommendations on esky’s that perform like the Yetis? (Looking at the 24 can roadie esky, so smallish)

    • My Engel Esky is pretty good quality. Not sure it's on the same level as Yeti, but definitely better than most other fibreglass cool boxes

Ive used the dometic eskys for a while, works for me great. If you want absolute best ice performance nothing beats Techni-Ice but they are thiccc

    • Check out the Pelican Australian store when it has 50 Percent off. Comparable quality.

I'm so bored at work today I have bought this and a spot cleaner so far.

    • Pretty sure if you put out your location and shout out, some bargainer would be there to have coffee with you.

      • Nice try police, I know entrapment when I see it

    • I hear you. Looking forward to picking this beast of a bag up though.

  • Got this one for free from Anaconda, it's good quality with thick insulation, haven't had a chance to use it though.

    • Depends on your use case. I think this one will be handy to just leave in the boot for groceries and the occasional trip. It is soft so can be compressed for easier storage.

How many days of water can it hold? Need to know for my next trip to Arrakis

    • Not enough for a Ghola but enough to keep a devastator crew hydrated while mowing down fremen.

Before you buy it, here are more things to note:

    • This had been on sale for $49 previously for quite some time as I've had my eye on it. It drops to $49 every now and again. I have the backpack version of the Dune 4WD cooler bag range and it's very good.
    • Have a look at the Titan 40 Can Tote Cooler at Bunnings ( https://www.bunnings.com.au/titan-40-can-tote-cooler-soft-de… ). It's $39.90. I bought the "Titan 40 can Tote" (Bunnings) instead of the "Dune 4WD 30 Can Tote" (Anaconda) as I required something a bit bigger for my tote.
    • When was the last time it was $49?

      • +1

        it's now $49

    • Thanks for your feedback. How does the Titan build quality compare?

  • Bought one. Sick of using coles/woolies bags and breaking them.

Reinforcing those bags with packing tape is a great way to extend the life of them. Not duct tape or Gaffa tape. Packing tape, fibrous packing tape or strapping tape .
You will look like a hobo but your stuff will last 5x longer. I use mainly for tool bag pockets

  • Personal gripe… but why oh why does anyone think it's a good idea to have cooler bags (or ice boxes) that are black/dark colours. This is not a one off, it's pretty common occurrence and maybe they are just cheaper to manufacture… but it's dumb when their job is to keep things cold.

    It's a no from me.

  • I bought a similar cooler tote from Aldi and it leaked profusely, all that ice melted and drained out.

Are these supposed to keep releasing water? Mine is like a fish net.

Shall I just get the refund? I was expecting it to hold the water within.

    • I don't think it should leak or it should be slow. They're meant to be sealed decently well to prevent the coldness escaping.

All of these cooler bags seem to $49 now
