I had a pair of these from excess stock (I did not pay for them). Sound quality they are okay for what they are (step up from PC speakers, still tinny, would not pay more than $10). They lasted two years before one of the wires gave out.
In this price bracket I would get these for a little more:

I have not used Edifier and heard mix reviews of them (lots of features, mixed reliability).
