    It's gone already

  • I'm glad I went with my instinct of buying on Amazon before trying to price match at JB. Was 4th in queue when it sold out.

Just came here to comment that in all my gears gaming and knowing of powerwaves existance, and seeing their controllers frequently showing up at tournaments, club meets, swap meets and cashies….. all of them seem to not only suffer quality issues of the parts themselves, but all seem to be made of substances that seem to sweat and get sticky/flake off after time.

I don't know what it is with their brand, their stuff seems ok out of the box, but light time and usage seem to do horrors to these

Reminds me of razer mouses and keyboards high price and crap quality

    • I have first hand knowledge of the Powerwave brand, won't go into details for some anonymity, but yes they are made very cheaply. Even at this price there is a significant (many multiples) markup of the actual cost landed to .au. But for some casual gaming until they break they will be fine.

  • Seems to be $27 now

  • Sort of related… I bought a cheap brandless Pro knockoff from AliExpress, and it's actually quite good. I use it for PC gaming as well. Obviously, it's not as good as first-party controllers, but for less than half the price, some brandless knockoffs are quite good.

  • Can anyone recommend one here that does what the pro from Nintendo does?

Do we need all the features?

Or stick it out till the Nintendo pro goes on sale?

So many controllers so many features some have some haven't, so much fine print!…

    Thanks in advance.

    • One of the cheap no-brand Ali Express clone. Like the post below, no NFC.

I have both Culeeds and no-brand Ali Express ones. The rest of my family use the Culeeds. I use the no-brand clone. It's a matter of which feels comfortable. The clone works better for me.

  • [2023 New Version] CuleedTec Wireless Switch Controller, Switch Pro Controller Gamepad Joypad Compatible with Switch/Switch Lite/Switch OLED, with Gyro and Gravity Sensor, Dual Shock and Turbo Function (NO NFC) with Charging Cable https://amzn.asia/d/aI9mzZu

I've bought one of these. Gets used daily and by others with no complaints. Often on sale for sub 30

    • I will at it to my watch list.thanks for the recommendation.

    • Forgot to ask do we need HD rumble and NFC, is it a must have?

      • My very limited understanding is that NFC is only needed for Amibo. HD rumble probalby depends on whether you're playing games reliant on subtle/complex haptics.
