"Disclaimer:This trolley is not suitable to carry children or pets"

I saw a little girl sitting in one of these trolleys at the beach, only a few days ago. She was looking very chilled out, sunglasses and sunhat on, waiting patiently with her dad whilst mum bought coffee.

I was also waiting for a coffee and I remember feeling slightly frustrated, because I had no trolley to climb into. I actually had to WALK back to my family on the beach.

I've taken my kiddo on it many a time. He's neither chilled or waiting for anything, though.

Crazy world we live in. I had kids to help carry all the stuff to the beach. Saved $59 on a trolley, yippee!!! ……. but spend $$$ on food each week. Maybe need to find that bake beans deal just posted.

        • +10

Ohhhhh I have three kids and no money… Why can't I have no kids and three money

  • +5

    This is the normal price…

    • +12

Not even. I paid $49 for it. This is the inflated price (and, yes, other brands are hyper-inflated).

      • +4

Pretty sure the Mrs bought one 4 weeks ago for $49 also, which was the normal price at the time.

    • But it still could be a bargain

  • +8

I have this. It's useless for the beach due to its narrow plastic wheels. It's swivel wheels are also inset to help it fold up better, but it's unstable and I've tipped my kids out more than once. I wish I'd just paid more for a proper one with inflatable tires.

Stop being sensible and reading the instructions.

    • Which is the proper one? BCF?

      • +2

Wider wheels is what you want for sand.
Annaconda, BCF etc will have them.

    • +2

The deluxe one w canopy from Kmart which was 79 goes alright on beach I felt

    • Have the Macpac wanderer cart with the wide chunky wheels and its only marginally better. Still get stuck on the soft stuff and on uphills.

    • +2

We have this one. We went and looked at the wanderer and decided to go for Gorilla as it is more sturdy and has more side storage. Also cheaper than wanderer.

Haven't had any issues with mine.

I think it's really well built and a good price at normal RRP.

      • I completely agree that's it's well built and good for the money, but it's not a good 'beach' trolley.

  • What’s RRP? I don’t see the bargain.

    • Its oz bargain not ozdiscount
Op thinks this is a good price

Why do people still choose to buy anko crap.

    • neg away peasants. Continue to support cheap shit.

  • We have this and we are pretty happy with it. Although we bought it for $49.

I have the canopy version: https://www.kmart.com.au/product/foldable-beach-trolley-with…
A bit pricier, but bigger wheels for the sand, and a neat pop up roof/canopy.
Carries a good amount of stuff Recommended with kids!

    • Looks very nice, I have the standard one and it works well, but the canopy one does indeed look like a worthwhile upgrade

    • Yup, I have the same and can vouch for it. Loaded it with 2 eskies, 3x3 gazebo and alot of bags. Easily carried over 50kg through sand, needed 2 people to push/pull though.

  • +1

Wheels don't look fat enough on these. Gonna be a hard drag when you get into the sand.

  • Aside the beach. Will this be perfect for some serious gardening chores? Any experiencers out there? Thanks.

    Legendary thread here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/611654

Note the 'deluxe' version is about 5kg heavier. Does the wider wheels offset the extra weight? Somebody meet me at the sandpit at lunch, we'll have a pull off

  • Theres a couple of versions of this. Mrs got the cheaper version for under 50 a few weeks ago.

Is decent works well and was able to put my 30KG doggo and walk on a path and grass in it for a few mins on way to sand.

Has a vent in the corner to help get the sand out which is usefull.

  • I bought from Kathmandu few months back (on bundle promotion). Works like magic on beach. Heavily loaded with chairs and inflatable kayak and still good.

  • What do you guys think about this one? It looks solid, big wheels (4 inches width, information from seller's website), all metal joints, not plastic like others.
