The basic service has always been free- Remote Streaming: If you want to stream Plex outside of your home, you need Plex Pass.

If you haven't used Plex before, then don't buy Plex Pass just now. Try it out and see if you are missing anything you need.
@JoeRogan It appears as though you haven't had your question properly answered yet, so: long story short, there is a 'hack' (I use that term loosely) method to get this deal. You can also use it to pay for other App store subscriptions.
There are quite a few steps involved, but the payoff is worth it in the end. You can find the full instructions here.

I assume it's just as easy to use a VPN and buy it, although maybe it region checks the credit card?
Seems much easier than the new apple account / iTunes gift card etc, even though it's more expensive. Still cheaper than $120 USD or whatever the normal price is.

@MementoMori: Ahh… I can see you can just pay a $7.99 AUD one time activation fee to stream to a mobile app.
Is this for every device though? e.g. I have an iPhone and an iPad (and my GF's iPhone) - is that 3x $7.99?
@MementoMori: OK, just found my own answer. It's tied to a your iCloud ID, so will work across multiple iOS + also for family sharing members.
Also note - does not allow for offline movie viewing. You need Plex Pass for that.

Tried logging out and back in even. No joy.
Have only just noticed it's only the 'Other Videos' library affected, which I had to do manual matches on. Others update fine. WeirdI bet just a random bug that'll be fixed in an update inevitably. Odd though.
