    Where Smithers Mr. Burns?

      Who is that babbling lollygagger?

That's tryingtohelp from Sector 7G, sir.

  • +1

Grabbed one thanks, couldn't find the 60 drawer, staff probably took it

    • +8

      Downvote lol

To clarify, the 60 drawer says in-stock at my local and I found the label for it but no stock so either staff probably took it or staff aren't doing their job stocking shelves. Either way, probably staffing issue.

      Probably staffing issue

      • +6

Ooor, maybe their stock control is not 100% accurate, or maybe their API only updates the website stock on hand once a day, or simply less frequently than live.

        • The thing with Bunnings stock control is that when it says low stock it says low stock and I don't expect to find it, such as the item that I was actually looking for when I was there this morning. Couldn't find it anywhere in the pool aisle so I bought something similar. It wasn't marked down yet and the OzB post only just went up so I don't see why there weren't any on the shelf.

A common Bunnings problem: stuff that's a hot sale item is moved from its official location to somewhere near the front. They want people who are browsing to find it, but this ends up appearing out of stock on the actual shelf location. To staff as well.

    • There's a chance it might be elsewhere in the store, and to go for a bit of a wander.

My local (Holmesglen) said out of stock for the 60, but in stock for the 39. I noted dullbeard's suggestion about things being moved to the front (or next to escalator), but didn't see anything.

Went to the suggested aisle for the 39 (as per website after setting store location), but no where to be seen. Went for a wander to the back of the store (shelf directly behind power tools section partition) and saw a few 60s up the top shelf out of reach. Looked behind me (adjacent to laundry section) and saw a box of 60s and 39s on separate shelves.

Yeah but they weren't even marked down yet. Oh well, I might try again later

The interlocking feature is a nice touch over the Aldi ones they are matching.

    • would make for a good 'warehouse accident' style of video - where the forklift touches something and the entire warehouse contents fall like dominoes

    • Aldi one is better than this. There are 32 small drawers +1 large, with separators which makes it 64 + 1 drawers and made in Germany.

      • Do they have it for sale at Aldi atm or do I have to wait until they bring it on again?

  • +11

grap 4. Thank you. It is also a good toy for the baby. They have 60 drawers to push and pull for whole day.

    • +12

should get them to work at amazon

      • Ah the next generation [of] CAPTCHA + picking artists

    • +1

      This is the way!

It is also a good toy for the baby. They have 60 drawers to push and pull for whole day.

      • Wait until they figure out they can both put things in and remove items from them!

Nekminit all the drawers are missing

  • These remind me of my father's garage. The amount of loose screws he has in these….

    • +3

did you just subtly insult your dad

      • Haha not at all.

        • He didn't - it was blatent, not subtle.

      • +2

He doesn't have a screw loose: they're all in the drawers!

  • Do you guys stick these to the wall or just leave them on the table?

    • I'll be leaving mine on a table/bench of even on a tool shelf

    • You can't sit these flat on a table because they are designed to join together and have the male joiners on the bottom and female slot on top. Bad design, it should be the other way around so it will sit on a flat surface

      • +2

        @Hudcon it details
Stable, anti-tilt base to prevent toppling
Use as a free-standing storage unit or mount to the wall (fixings not included)

        • +1

If you read the 1-2 star reviews there's a few people saying the same thing about poor design and how it won't lay flat on a table on it's own. If you look at the photos you can clearly see the 2x male joiners protruding from the bottom. You may need to lean it against the wall but best to screw it for stability. Go have a look in person to see how stable it is before buying

          • @x x: Would these be due to warping or off-balance similar to other types

Read the free-standing feature in description - got sus and came for the comments.

            • @UsernameChecksIn: No. It's due to the 2x male black plastic joiner strips underneath which you can see in the photos. But I guess if they're symmetrical then it should lay flat, just make sure you don't rock it much because it will be wobbly

              • @x x: If I am not planning to stack it further, I will just cut the male joiner and make the bottom flush.

      • +1

How about flipping the drawers upside down, and turning the unit upside down?

        • Oh what a high stakes prank to play on someone

Next they will be sideways with each drawer flipped inconsistently

          • @UsernameChecksIn: I was thinking of doing that for yourself to sit the base on a flat surface. You've got a perverse mind!

        • I considered it but the guides for the drawers to slide on probably aren't mirrored on the opposite side/located perfectly in the middle

If they are it's a good idea and relatively easy fix for their poor design choices

          • +1

@SpainKing: It's a 1 minute job and the only downside is you can no longer hang it on the wall. I just did it.

  • Hmm, I work up the road from a Bunnings, but their click and collect is next day, not same day.
I could just go there on my lunch break, I spose, but how likely are these to sell through?

  • link seems to be broken for the 39

    • It's not broken, per say. I had it up and open, and just hit refresh on the page after seeing your comment and it's gone.

      • It's back now.

    • Yep, same here. Oddly it loaded form the Cart screen fine, then refresh and it's gone.
      Still shows on PowerPass app.

  • Just grabbed the 18 and 60. Exactly what I needed, thank you OP. The 60 draws come out fine, but the 18 require a little pull. May just be the individual one I found.

  • -3

    Is there a 69 one?

  • You can add the 39 version to your cart by looking at the similar items at the bottom of the page of other ones - just can't go to the item page itself

  • -3

I think these are normally $20, definitely not worth $40 retail

  • Just placed order for the 39 one for C&C, hope it's available.

  • +3

I really do love it when they do this stuff in anticipation of an Aldi special, goes to show how much margin Bunnings are making on their products every other day of the year.

    • +1

Aldi always 2-3 staff, Bunnings staff sometimes more than customers, in QLD.

  • Been waiting 6months for these since last special for my business. Purchased 10 from 2 stores and hopefully more stock in store once i pick up too!

    • for my business

      Lego parts?

      • +2

Yeah, i resell parts so these go great stacking ontop of each other ancored to the wall to keep neat and tidy.
A lot better then the aldi ones and still better then amazon ones too, especially at $20

        • How many stacked
          (limitations)

          Any tips?

          Thanks

          • +1

@UsernameChecksIn: If you anchor them I'd say unlimited. I just run a beam of pine from one side to the other on a wall and mount to studs and then these drawers into the studs for the top and bottom

        • Are you comfortable to do an AMA one day?

  • Do I own too much stuff if I'm having trouble working out how many of these I need?

    • Yes.

    • too much tiny stuff. Buy bigger stuff.

  • Anyone know what size screw we can use to mount these to the wall?

  • What do you guys use this for?

  • +1

called multiple bunnigs and only found 2x 18 drawers at one bunnings. 39/60 drawers all sold out everywhere

    thanks for share OP

  • Thanks!

  • Bought 13 in wa mixture thanks op

  • Thanks OP. Bought 18 & 60, very useful for an average householder.

  • Can I use this for socks

    • +1

you can, but you might want to spend your money on therapy instead.

      • Why? I thought it's a good idea storing socks there

  • Also got the 60 compartment one. Still had a few available:

  • Expired but still plenty of the Aldi ones around if they suit your needs.
