The designer has decided to open it up to the community to encourage modification to suit other printers, and improve the system in general.
.blend files are included in the package.
If you are like me and think this is a generous offer please thank the designer with 5 stars on Cults.

Ooh, I was just thinking about putting a cooler on my Ender 3 V2. Ill give it a slash

  • It's not free, it wants your email address.

This is so sad, Alexa google "throwaway email account"

I mean, I did; and then it wanted me to solve a captcha for some self-driving car company that's having trouble teaching its AI what a bus looks.

I like it better when free stuff is free; rather than making me work for it.

I believe thats just a Cults 3D thing.
I already have downloaded stuff from them so I'm already in their system and so I didn't think about the "cost" of harvesting an email address.

Email address and Captcha is like the absolute bare minimum that most sites will ask you to do before downloading, to combat bots. Especially in the 3d models scene, where there's quite a business in re-hosting models, or printing them to sell.

          • @OZKap: What are you talking about? Thingiverse doesn't require an account to download, Printables doesn't - it's just this site.

I'm sure I know their name from some scandal last year, too….

    • I didn't know an email address was a form of currency. So it's worth… US$2 per email?

      • Tell you what, post yours and I'll let you know what I get for it. ;)

  • looks like it will fit a tevo tornado as well.

  • I believe it would fit an old CR10 right?

Print and test before buying fans. Worst case it's not much plastic wasted.

  • i am having trouble with ASA on my ender 3 v1
Trying to make bits for my motorcycle so needs to be strong, heat resistant etc

PLA comes out fine but ASA warps bad, doesnt stick to bed. I even bought a ender official hotbag and put it in the sun. Measured temps and it was like 35-40C inside there!

  • So it's free forever?

It was available for some time for 2.00 USD.
The author has said he wants to open it up to the community so that they can make mods to make it fit other printers, while he will focus on other projects and also updates to the Ender system version.
He has released the .blend files, so really the genie is out of the bottle now.
I can't see how it could be put back in.

      • if it was a temporary sale, it could be put back in. these sites tend to be very good about removing clones if the original's license didn't allow it.

anyway i just wanted to check if i needed to hoard the STLs locally or just 'favourite' it for when i needed it… sounds like it's the latter, thanks.

  • Does anyone still have the stl zip file? Thanks
