Wonder if they will do any deals on a yearly sub this year, Twinkl is really the gold standard in teaching resources. On a totally unrelated note, any other teachers out there feeling a tad burnt out? So many of my colleagues are leaving the profession.

Wife's entering into her 42 yr teaching, Special Ed, hearing impaired itinerant and the work load is extraordinary. Hours and hours and hours spent at night working on her case loads and what has to happen tomorrow/next week/next term.

Crazy hours and the out of pocket expenses incurred to buy toys, buy materials and yes they can be claimed on your tax if the Dept agrees with your addition.

Crazy profession but the dedication is amazing. Feeling burnt out? Get another profession then as teaching isn't for you. Average age of teachers in NSW(for instance) between 55 and 59 and going upwards.

The most undervalued profession in our everyday life, but the people coming into the profession expect a lot more than the various State Governments and Depts will ever pay.

    • I told my wife to quit multiple times last year. I will most likely say it more this year. I am sorry but who in their right mind would become a teacher these days?

  • anything for HSC?

  • Thanks for the heads up, got the rest of tonight and tomorrow planned.

  • Thanks for posting
