Hi, is there any way I’m able to get this deal without an edu email address?
    Thanks

    • +4

Same price on Samsung Government EPP, possibly same price on other EPP too.

      Also available Fold 3 256GB Black - $1,249.50

    • I used to have a Uni email address but they cancelled it, is there any way of getting a free edu email address

      • If you have a student ID card- walk in to Samsung pop up stores in shopping malls, they end up offering the EPP prices.

      • Apply for a university course with onlijne learning, then cancel before census date, and you'll still have your uni email for a year.

Sign up for a free TAFE course

      • +9

Looks like I’ve upset someone with this. Clearly do no sign up for a free tafe course for this purpose alone. Do it to upskill yourself and better your career prospects and hey there are perks on the side such as edu email, office suite and LinkedIn learning access.

Nah, just to get the email address.

      • +3

I was studying through TAFE Qld but never had an edu email address. Not sure if they even provide them.

  • Wonder if we can get free samsung care by registering to new unpacking event

The folding section of this phone becomes very obvious as the protector sheet gets damaged (had it for over a year)

    • Agree. Samsung offer one free replacement of the screen protector. However, I'm not sure if that'll apply into perpetuity for phones as old as the Flip3. So that is one thing worth checking.

      • They offer 1 free replacement within a 12 mo th period. Flip4 offers 3 replacements over 3 years i think.

        • Wait so it's essentially a consumable?

        • I called about betting my Flip3 protected replaced. Was told they don't do it. Should have taken it instore in hindsight. It is now past the 12 month period. I just peeled it off instead.

    • How do you claim this? My fold is starting to peel off at the center

      • You can go to any of the Samsung certified repair shop. I went to one a day before 12 month period and they didnt have any genuine parts. They offered me a non-genuine one but told it would cost $45

        • Wouldn't they still honour it if you came in on time but they had to order?

    • My son's delaminated 13 months after purchase. We just sent it in yesterday. The fellow at JB said that delamination is now baked into the warranty rather than the more vague wording before where samsung support would "take a look at it, and do things on a case by case basis"

It is however, very disappointing that like @Save Medicare has said, it almost appears to be a consumable on this device. On my son's device, the delamination began as a very faint line 9 months after purchase.

1000% a consumable. there is some conjecture about how much samsung charge to replace it after the first free one.

ive seen people say as little as <$20 and as much as $60. Im getting one done next week ill report back on the cost.

Also ive managed to justify this because for me screen protectors have always been a consumable. My glass ones on other phones rarely survive a few months haha

        • how much did it cost?

        • Yes

          • @craving: Kindly advise what good offers are going on?

        • Galaxy Flip 4 $1199 or $1319 for 256GB.

          • @craving: Can you kidly advise where to get this from

        • Yes

Heads up some unis offer alumni emails that end with edu.au which is all you need.

  • Can someone kindly explain what are the requirements to get access to EPP OR EDU store?

Is it just a uni/tafe/school/teacher email address with .edu.au for Edu store?

What about EPP? Seems like there's a Gov EPP? Maybe some others? That mean that you need a .gov email?

And once email is obtained, do we need to create an account with Samsung to access the deal?

And finally, If I have a friend with an eligible account, can I still somehow make the order of the purchase in my own name (for TRS purposes)?

    Thanks for your help :)

      1. Education accounts for education emails. EPP is for Samsung partnered companies which also happens to be .gov emails too.

      2. Yeah anything ending in edu.au

      3. You create an account that needs to obtain a verification code from your edu/EPP email that you give them.

      4. I don't see why not? Unless there's some reason. Happy to be corrected

      • Thanks a lot!

Confirming point 4 works. I used to do this before

  • Same price through Westpac customer EPP store too of that helps anyone

    • Couldn't find it, only saw flip 4. Can you confirm 3 is in Westpac?

  • anyone with na old QUT email should be able to log into QUT somehow with a @connect.qut.edu.au account and automatically forward to your personal!

  • Have anyone tried the trade-up to get bonus trade in but not return the old device? Talks about non-return admin fee, etc. How much is that?

    • This deal does not have the trade in bonus, you only get the trade in value of your device which is not worth it.

  • Got the 256gb one for $550 when it was first released lol

  • Would take a 7inch phone over this anyday.

    • Same here, i really dont see the point, so big deal it's half the size in ones pocket, the Fold makes more sense,.. certainly didnt realise these had screen issues "were the fold hinge is" what issues start happening around 12 months or so of use of phone certainly worrying, that should be a real put off to buy, anyway prefer to pay extra and keep paying for the Samsung Note series, but cant argue the low price for this flip 😉

  • Signed in to EPP store (have bought from it previously without issues) but am only seeing $1079.20 for the Flip3…is there a trick to this?

  • Link is broken, sold out?
