    That's using a "combo connector" which holds a Thunderbolt and barrel connector together. I would imagine that it would only be compatible with HP laptops.

      I hv been using my g5 for my mbp and lenovo and they charge fine.

        If charging with just Thunderbolt you'd be limited to 100w.

            @HolyCr4p: Yeah, with a combo cable which is a Thunderbolt connector and barrel connector joined together. Thunderbolt by itself is still limited to 100w.

            The combo cable does appear to seperate but if you can't connect both you are limited to 100w.

            Unless all manufacturers use the same diameter connector(and, hey maybe they do now), you may run into issues if you expect it to work with a different brand.
