Imo and research with customers hundereds of hdds, wd have a lower fault rate and last longer however seagate is generaly faster in the red catagory. Still a good deal i wpild have brought if they were WD reds but its jsut because i can wait for the WD to go on special

I ended up going for used 8TB ironwolf drives in my NAS and working well so far. Easily under <$150 used after discount which I thought was a good money saver.
how do these compare to wd reds?
