  • Pick up and app only.

    App only ?

Edit: Ok. ads say app only.

  • Can anyone please recommend a real good pizza from them? E.g I find the garlic prawn one pretty wholesome πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

At my local, if you order a cheese pizza only, you won't be disapointed.

      • Yes we also ordered this last time. Indeed a good choice! Thank u!!

      • +3

That's what I used to do but the last few times I've ordered simply cheese it's been bread with tomato sauce and a couple sprinkles of cheese. It's an embarrassment.

I feel like the Godfather is a pretty good all rounder and a classic. Like a supreme but less vege and more meaty. I usually only get thin crust on most pizzas but for some reason (likely due to the large amount of toppings), I always get Godfather on a thick base. I feel as though the proportions are a solid 50/50 bread to toppings, and more bang for your buck as my wife and I can get full off sharing a single Godfather deep pan, but I sometimes still feel hungry if I get a thin crust Pepperoni. Should be only $6 with this deal so not too bad. If you haven't tried, give it a crack!

Thank you for the detailed review! Tempting and will give it a try πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡

Godfather used to be in the Traditional range. Definitely good value now.

  • Public holiday surcharge still applicable?

    • The 28th isn't a public holiday?

      • Doesn't Saturday still attract a surcharge at Dominos?

        • +1

Afaik Domino's only have a Sunday surcharge

          • @pennypincher98: and a public holiday surcharge

Eitherway just try to pre order RN it should tell the order total (after any surcharges etc)

            • @USER DC: Well yeah we just determined it wasn't a public holiday though. What I'm saying is there shouldn't be any surcharges.

        • @WoodYouLikeSomeCash

    • There won’t be any applicable surcharges for Saturday the 28th. (For pick up).

Should be normal price at best.
My local needs to stop spitting out cheese pizzas for everything, or Dominos need to take 90% of the toppings from all their advertising pictures. It's false advertising fullstop.

    • Bad luck the ones here always have tons of toppings. Way more than one of thos 20 dollar "stone baked" pizza places

    • Domino used to have a feedback system where can upload a photo of the collected pizza to rate how it matches

      • +2

Thats true. They also had pizzadom or something to keep an eye on them.
Imagine being a pizza company having to fit cameras in all stores to check only the pizzas your staff are creating. No other pizza company needs to do this. I think that speaks in volumes.

Dominos got popular in America by offering FREE delivery. Its not a thing here. They will colapse in Australia soon. They are overpriced, toppingless, tasteless and redundant. Burger pizzas wont save their business. Better customer service will.

        • +1

They will colapse in Australia soon.

They won't. At least not for the reasons you listed, because what's the alternative? Pizza Hut is sparse and everything else is a different price category.

If you feel Domino's is a rip off or you just don't like the taste, you have a myriad of other options to get you your preferred size, toppings, flavours, at fair price. Why the rant?

        • +1

We no longer use DOM Pizza Checker instores to check the quality of pizzas. The company that owns it was bought out by Pizza Hut a few months ago.

          • @WoodYouLikeSomeCash: Lol the competition brought out Dominos only way of checking their stores product and reputation. I further stick to my comment that they will/may colapse soon. Clever move Pizza Hut. Shame Dominos got arrogant to sell it off. Or the company in control of Dominos only means of control.

            • +1

@Davious: In my view the Pizza Checker was no good for Dominos, it exposed or reminded customers how bad or different their actual pizzas looked compared to the images in advertising.

              • @nwa: Yeah, that was a thing too imo.

        • The reasons you listed are precisely why they'll survive

          • +1

@TEER3X: Look maybe, i dont know the future.
Im probably just bitter and dont want them to survive.

  • Probably doesn't work

  • Good. Wasn't it used to be $8 for premium back those days?

    • $8 premium was the promotion price before and first half pandemic. Used to be $7 (+$3 upgrade to premium) with the weekly code but now $8 +$4 and not weekly. The app seems become smarter at handling the code.

  • Will it work in Sydney or will they cut it off at the last minute like they did last week?

I guess the only way to guarantee is to do a pre-order now before the have a chance to revoke the vouchers again.

    • Can this work with cash on pickup or cc pay on pickup ? I placed an order it's there, hopefully they don't cancel it later. Other option was to pay for it now.

      • Paying in store or online won’t make a difference as they flow into our store systems in the same way (just states paid or not paid).

        • OK thanks, good to know my order is locked in then.

  • +1

Dodge dominos.cookie size = premium size. Topping is very very less.not worth it even with the deal price…

    Pi(zza)thon

  • Let me guess, my local store has opted out of this one as well. >.>

    • Yes it was last time from my local store but hopefully not this time

  • Traditional is $7:79 if you search somewhere in the app for the deal.

And add something for the deal.

    Cryptic is what you get.

    • CrYpt1c P1ZZ@

  • I can't use the code for tomorrow, there's no way of knowing if it will be a scam deal tomorrow.

Hmm not getting my hopes up again.

  • Is there any way to cancel or amend a pre-order online or on the app ? I cannot find a way ?

    • +1

Just call the store. Nice and easy. 30 seconds.

  • -1

It says it can be used until the 5th, do I trust it? Might use it today anyway. Or order for a future date today.

  • +1

"This voucher is not accepted by your selected store." Scammers.

  • +1

Not sure why I bothered really. The pizza was not much more than toasted bread. It almost had no toppings.

  • Deal works it not a scam, maybe next month will be.

  • +1

What size are these pizzas in diameter now?
Havent had one for years but the last time i had one it felt like they were being socially responsible by limiting the calories we consume by eating one of their pizzas as it felt pretty small

  • Can i use multiple times on same account

  • +1

Can no longer change toppings to equal $ amount for free

    Dominos keeps getting worse

    • Topping substitutes to equal $ amount toppings appears to be working correctly. Are you able to provide of a screenshot of the pizza you’re trying to change toppings on that is not functioning as expected?

      • Tried to order value max range, spicy veg something like that.
(Tried to add extra capsicum by removing onion, jalapenos it still added $1.5 to the order total)
        https://i.imgur.com/wlafVP3.png

      • Same with removing Capsicum from the Godfather…. should give me $1.50 to add another sauce/spring onion etc….

It adds $1.50 to the total. Makes the godfather $11.49

    • +1

Free topping substitutes don't apply to value and value max.

  • Since when did Dominos start charging credit card surcharge when pay in store ?
    $10 has become $10.15

  • What's considered to be best value on these kind of deals?

Saving a dollar on value range doesn't seem worthwhile?
$8.99 saving on premium pizzas might be the better option?

  • The domino's app was a total waste of time for me - after installing, logging in, selecting order (14 pizzas with 7 sides, for a party), logging into PayPal, and trying to process the order for several minutes, it then gave me a "Couldn't place order" "(ER5)" error. Had to redo the whole thing on the website, and pay 10% extra to be able to successfully place an order. There's a good reason that app has a 2.1 out of 5 rating on the Google Play store.

    • Yes the app sucked at launch they designed a new app if I remembered correctly but again sucked couldn't even log an account, however after blah blah updates seems now works ok. you don't need to pay in app. just confirm your order and pay in store
