INTRODUCING UNIDEN’S LATEST IN SMART SECURITY CAMERAS, THE GUARDIAN APP CAM SOLO PRO 1080P SMART SECURITY WIFI CAMERA AND SPOTLIGHT IN ONE.
The new App Cam Solo PRO, a 100% wire-free, rechargeable, solar powered, spotlight and security camera in-one. The compact device can be placed anywhere around the home exterior to keep watch day and night.

Designed for Australian homes and weather conditions, the App Cam Solo PRO can withstand exposure to the elements to continuously and reliably capture footage with a 120-degree wide viewing angle. The addition of the spotlight allows users to better see the appearance of anyone approaching the property, while also acting as an effective deterrent to unwanted visitors.

The Full HD 1080p resolution delivers exceptional clarity. The Starlight CMOS sensor, together with the built-in spotlight, adds colour to the night vision footage up to 10 metres away to ensure a high-quality image. The optional Uniden Solar Panel can be used alongside the camera, positioned for optimal sunlight exposure. The solar panel recharges the App Cam Solo PRO, while providing non-stop power during daylight hours, allowing footage to be recorded and viewed without the risk of draining the battery.

  • Seems to be a good price. Office works and JB are $199.

You may want to add that it’s $14.45 delivery unless you do pick up from Shailer park Qld.

  • I’m looking for new cams and this sounds like it ticks all the boxes.

Anyone have any experience with these ones or other Uniden cams?

Have some other Unidens which are identical to some Reolinks I have. You can even use the same app to interact with both, except for the Cloud features.

My Unidens have 5 free devices for the 7 day cloud storage, the Reolinks only have 1 device on the free plan. Though if you want to subscribe for 30 days storage Im pretty sure Reolink charge less.

Beyond that the Reolinks have had more firmware updates, I had to pester Uniden to give me an update to allow higher resolution cloud storage to work and have had zero updates since. The Reolinks also cost less, as have the accessories. Unidens on special might be close to, or better, than the cost of Reolinks.

If I was buying today I'd just go Reolink for them all, or spend more for something higher end perhaps. Though I've had zero issues after getting the firmware update via support.

Thanks for sharing your experience, I have 1x reolink indoor and was looking for an outdoor camera, umming and ahhing if I move to yet another app/cloud. Ans given your support exp I think I'll wait for a reolink outdoor to go on sale.

      • 100% Reolink for the win

    • Yep, they do the job pretty well. What I like is the on device sd-card storage + a short term free tier uniden cloud storage option.

Decent enough movement detection event at night and the spotlight is pretty bright as well.

Super low power as well, so you could use say a decent usb powerbank as a mini UPS for it.

  • Does this come with the solar panel?

  • Looks very similar in shape to the Arlo. Does anyone know if there's any compatibility (e.g. battery, charger plug)?

Wouldn't trust any 'free' cloud based service after what happening to my Arlo cams. only been a few years before the stop support and your cameras are expensive paperweights
