                                      • @Deviner: no worries. they've actually added a few discounts in the past 2 days to Members app Benefits section, might be worth checking out. nothing for TVs though, mobiles and appliances only.

What's the power consumption like for this "Frame TV" ?

I'm trying to figure out what the cost is, just to display artwork or pictures.

    • Think it's 3 star rated. So not super great. But that's overall usage I assume.

Not sure the consumption for when it's in art mode.

      • +1

I was wondering about the 'art mode'.
I know about 'vampire power' of appliances,
but this can be offset somewhat, with daytime solar power generation.

Still, I'm curious to know the power needs of "The Frame"….for science!

  • Confused and deciding between TCL 65'' C835 mini LED + TS6110 Sound Bar in $1,609.90 and Samsung 65'' S95 OLED + B450 Sound Bar in $2,694.50.

Is it worth spending extra $1,000 for OLED compared to mini LED? I don't need to use it for gaming, just as TV. Any recommendations?

    • Deep black matter to you? Colours are noticeable to you? If no to both questions get the mini led in 75"

Great tv. Looks great with mount. Just super difficult to mount. A professional tv guy took 3 hours. Granted it was the first time he has seen this tv. All in all very happy. Anti glare is great too.

    • +1

defintely does not take 3 hours, i have to wire some looms behind the wall and was less.
Just wanted to put it here so people do not get scared.

    • +1

What the….3 hrs!? My guys were done in about 20 mins!

Yea might be challenging if they havent done it before I guess

  • Don't forget to buy white or even wood bezels , make it look real shmick

  • The B450 soundbar reviews are concerning…

I own the 75 version and had the previous model Frame as well. Both really (really) suck for both back light bleed and more noticeably clouding. I posted a youtube video of mine and had a number of people comment that there's is the same re several whitish blobs in the middle of the screen that are very noticeable during dark scenes. The general picture quality is total poopage compared to an OLED and it's not much better than the budget TCL P735 we have in another room and at least the TCL supports Dolby Vision unlike Samsung. I would only purchase again if the Art Mode was a must have. To cap it off Samsung support is shocking so prey there's no faults that develop

    • You don't compare this tv to oled , yes it sux picture quality wise but it's beautiful when mounted properly, a lot of people don't care that much for finer detail you get with an oled and so they shouldn't , everyone is such a snob all of a sudden

      • That like saying coffee snobs are wasting their money on magical coffee beans from south america as a instant coffee drinker. Let people enjoy their money worth on oled TV not everyone like you.

        • exactly those guys suck ass, snobs

    • Valid points, I am also keen on the anti-glare screen. Are there other alternatives that prevent glare? My living room is bad for glare.

    • that's why you don't buy these Frames full price, for that budget you're better off looking at OLED

only buy them on deep discounts and loyalty discount stacked on Samsung web store. I got 65" for $930 just now. at that price I am super happy with performance: HDMI 2.1, 4k 120Hz, full support of Xbox Series X, super quick response times and input lag is ultra low - makes this a superb gaming TV.

It's also solid for all other uses - but this will depend on lighting and the room, works perfectly fine for me, zero complaints at this price.

  • If you’re going to have this wall mounted (if not, why bother buy the Frame right?), go 75 inch unless your room is really really tiny, like less than 3m from wall to wall. 75 inch is the norm/standard going forward and you won’t regret it going one size bigger.

    • +3

Would 75 even look like a painting? It's the whole point of this tv , I got a 55 for the look , any bigger and you know it's a tv , this way ppl always have to ask 😃

      • I have one 65 and 2 75 (yes I really like this TV), unless you’re buying this mounted on the hallway or above fireplace and etc. Afterall it’s a TV more than shy thing else. But to answer your questions nothing wrong having a ‘large painting’, Mona Lisa is not much larger than a A3 paper, do you want a 32 inch the Frame for that? Just saying

    • If Picture Quality isn't a metric for you and you have budget to stick to then yeah 75 inch LCD is for you.

  • When does the harvey deal expire?

  • I’ve got a Sony x90k on order but this deal is tempting me to cancel the Sony.

Anyone able to provide their views on both? Will primary use to watch soccer and occasional Netflix, YouTube and PlayStation.

Sucker for the art gimmick and would look even better in a space but the Sony has better features and homekit connectivity.

Samsung just dropped the price of the 2022 Frames in their online store. With 30 percent loyalty discount, I just picked up the 55 for $1259.30.

    65 is down to $2199 - 30% (-659.70) = $1539 (no soundbar though)

    • Thanks, will check it out

    • +2

Great ! But how do you get 30% discount ? I am only getting 15% from their team.

      • +2

@ozshaz just email [email protected] and tell them all the Samsung products you have bought (I have bought a bunch, but I doubt they check) and tell them you're interested in buying a neo qled or frame and would like a voucher or discount code

They had a guy call me not long after. Ymmv, but good luck!

        • +2

I followed the advice of denz above and just picked up the 75" for $2099.30. Awesome price!

          • @jewboy: Did you email or chat on the website? Did they ask you prove it by sending photos? I'll try, please let me know.

            • +1

@IDontKnowWhyImHere: I could only get 15% via chat trying with 3 different people. I emailed with a pic of a TV serial number and they replied overnight with the 30% off code.

    • 2021 model was even cheaper but looks like I grabbed last 65" 2021 for $930. same TV just different surface treatment

  • Buy now enjoy now. Buy later enjoy further discount.

JB has also added 15% off combo deal - just used in addition to 10% above

  • What length One Clear Cable comes with The Frame 2022?
If not the 15m, anyone managed to find anywhere selling them?

    • Google says 5m, but I can confirm when I get mine delivered on Wednesday if you like.

  • B450 sold out at JB

  • Had mine since Wednesday.

First TV I've ever bought brand new, have had four? free 2nd hand TVs from family and friends in previous years.

Pretty happy with it, only thing I've noticed is the viewing angles are horrendous, but art mode is what the missus loves and the only reason she agreed to go 65"

Was planning to try and sell the soundbar to get some money back, but opened and installed it instead. YOLO!

I suspect if you returned the soundbar to JB they would have to refund you, right? They can't ask for the discounted money back or something I assume…🤷🏻‍♂️

    • I've noticed is the viewing angles are horrendous

Before of not IPS panel but IPS panel have other issues.

      • Sorry, I don't follow?

        • +1

Should be Because of not IPS, IPS panel have good viewing angle (like LG TV) but no good contrast ratio and Backlight bleed

          Before of not IPS panel

          • @superforever: Yeah I knew the viewing angle would be bad based on all the reviews I read, but seeing it in person was still a bit surprising.

I'm not going to be watching it at less than 45 degrees anyway!

The slimness and matte finish makes it look like a giant PC monitor to me 😂

    • I was worried about the viewing angles, but it didnt seem that bad when I viewed at JBHifi….
What length cable was it in the end?

  • +2

So here I was, fluffing around, scavenging art and cropping like a chump, when someone in /rtheframe has apparently posted a folder of 400+ artwork for free (~2gigs).

    Enjoy

    • Correction about 4gigs

  • To those who received delivery of the tv directly from Samsung, what is the process? Does the courier get in touch with you to re-confirm delivery date?

I am having an absolute stinker dealing with Samsung aftersales team trying to change my delivery date. 2 weeks and has yet to receive any proper assistance except for pre-scripted messages :(
