  • If someone can confirm current EPP pricing. $1949 was a week ago and im now locked out :D

    • +1

my epp is near $1950 for the 2022 65" Frame.

edit - same price that you saw last week no doubt.

      $2101.25 with the soundbar.

      • Thanks. The samsung store also has horrific reviews so best to avoid if possible

        • +1

Im eyeing off the QN95B. Stock is slim, but theyre cheaper than any other. A want more than a need, so waiting for the price to drop some more.

          • @psy: Available at Binglee for $2995 in stock only at few stores (check after adding to cart) and then price match with JB Hifi via chat to get it as they have plenty of stock available. I did it yesterday.

            • @usmanhafeez2000: I have access to Samsung EPP, which is about $2500 for the 55"

          • @psy: Hi PSY - can you please guide EPP for a QA65Q60BAWXXY? Big thanks

            • @Rizzler: About $1470

              • @psy: To clarify - I've accidentally ticked the associated box. I have no affiliation with Harvey Norman.

              • @psy: Big thanks

        • The store itself has a horrific review? Or this TV is a horrific television?
I daydream about owning a Frame television but maybe the reality is less ideal

          • @drfuzzy: On a similar style deal, back in 2021 I bought the 65 inch frame TV, from the Samsung store… No issues with the store or TV.

In fact it looks awesome in my lounge room, mounted on the wall.

        • Bought the 65" Frame TV from Samsung store recently for ~$1200, delivered in a few days, no issues whatsoever. Just saying.

  • I cant seem to get $1844.50!

    • I had to find and add the soundbar myself to get the 15% off and the deal price.

  • +1

only really saving $123, try match these prices at JB then stack with 15%

    samsung B450 soundabar $169 + Samsung 65" The Frame $1798 = $1967 delivered

    • I dont believe JB will price match in conjunction with the 15% deal. Happy to be corrected

      • +1

hit n miss, would just try match the tv then add the sound bar to cart, can also try tgg

        • No they don’t. When they price match for you, you get a link with an order # generated, and you can’t add anything else to that order. Tried it already yesterday

  • +1

Same price at JB, TGG are $1846.20, combine with current discounted giftcards at woolworths (10%), could try the off chance that TGG will actually payout the $80 store cash too.

Of note too is that Samsung S95 OLED is $2694.5 with the soundbar included.

    • “Of note too is that Samsung S95 OLED is $2694.5 with the soundbar included.”

Where can I see this price? HN? And is it for 65 inch?

      • Yes 65". Price is at all 3 (JB,TGG,HN), just add the tv to cart then add the Samsung B450 soundbar to cart and price will come down

        • Ahhhh thanks mate. They reduced the price today to $2995. It was $3995 yesterday 😊

        • Confused and deciding between TCL 65'' C835 mini LED + TS6110 Sound Bar in $1,609.90 and Samsung 65'' S95 OLED + B450 Sound Bar in $2,694.50.

Is it worth spending extra $1,000 for OLED compared to mini LED? I don't need to use it for gaming, just as TV. Any recommendations?

          • +1

@usmanhafeez2000: Mate OLED all day long , once you go to true blacks you don't go back

            • @botchie: Thanks mate. Just went ahead and placed the order for Samsung S95 OLED 😊

              • @usmanhafeez2000: Yeah I have this one and c1 , if your after a nice picture and like watching your sci fi movies you definitely want that oled , it's amazing

  • +15

I have this TV and I think it's pretty great.

An underrated feature of this is the Xbox app, which if you have Xbox Game pass (ultimate?) lets you play xbox games with a controller straight on the tv via streaming without actually owning a physical xbox machine.

    It works remarkably well.

    • +2

What kind of witchcraft is this? I guess you’d need pretty fast Internet.

      • Not particularly. I tried it in beta and it worked surprisingly very good.

      • +7

Yeah, it's pretty awesome. I think it's available on all Samsung 2022 tvs.

The limiting factor would be your internet connection. I get about 65 Mbps on my wifi.

Have played Halo infinite which is pretty demanding and it runs really well.

Plus, since it's streaming it's easy to just go from one game to the next because you don't have to have any games installed or downloaded in advance.

    • +1

Didn’t know that was a feature, already wanted one of these for a space in our home. Thanks for the tip

      • +8

No worries. For the art, I recommend searching on Etsy for "Samsung Frame TV images" or similar and buying one of the '200 classic paintings' packs or similar.

It feels kinda dumb to pay for digital images but these etsy people have cropped everything to the right size, so it's worth it to save yourself the time. Then load them onto the TV via USB is what I found the easiest.

        • hey, thanks for sharing - curious to how this works, I thought if you imported your own images into the frame to use in art mode, that it would put in a 'frame' around it, i.e. the image wouldn't take up the entire screen. do these stretch to fill the whole screen, or are there frames around it? cheers :)

          • +1

@oldmaterowdy: I think by default it does do the white frame around it, which looks stupid

There is a way around it, but this is going back a few months so I can't remember the exact process, but what the gist is you need to load the (correctly cropped (16:9) and large enough) images via usb, then use the "Dynamic Filter" option in the SmartThings app rather than "My photos".

When you use Dynamic Filter instead of My Photos, your pictures will fill the whole screen.

It's not exactly logical, but it works.

        • It feels kinda dumb to pay for digital images

You don't think that paying for things is normal?

so it's worth it to save yourself the time

Much better. Where there is value, there is a price worth paying 😁

    • Wait, is this real? Did you just save me buying an xbox??

      • +1

It's real. And I hope so

      • +2

        Mate 100%.

Not all the games that you get on X-box are on it but the library is respectable and its still just in BETA; it will get better. I just finished playing Guardians of the Galaxy and all the 3 hitman games. Works pretty much flawlessly. I do have a wired 100/20 connection but I reckon it will work even with something lower.

        • How good! I'll give it a go - I just wanted Xbox for game pass to try new games - so this might be perfect

    • +1

Yea was just about to say that BETA with Xbox and Samsung is absolutely epic. I stopped gaming a couple of years ago as it was just too taxing on the time and then got the 75inch frame tv as a housewarming present from the in-laws and was about to look at paying more $$ for a console etc but then stumbled upon the X-cloud thing. Converted me from sony to xbox because its just so easy and it works with my PS4 controller!!

      Samsung TV's only though.

      • then got the 75inch frame tv as a housewarming present from the in-laws

Worth it to stay married just for the gifts 🤣

    • How do you find HDR content? That's really my only concern about buying a frame, that HDR content will be too dark.

      • +1

I'm not really sure what that is, sorry.

The TV is usually on netflix kids or sport

Don't get much opportunity to watch movies, unfortunately.

  • Bought the 2021 75" on Oct 22 The Frame for $1,288 , only difference is the matte screen.

    • +16

To be fair, the matte screen makes a massive difference, particularly when displaying artwork while content isn't playing on the TV… which is one of the primary reasons people buy this TV over another.

      • -1

which is one of the primary reasons people buy this TV over another.

Yes but I don't use artwork, bought it just because it is cheap for 75"

        • Got an neg because I don't use the artwork features? Bought it just because it is cheap for a 75" QLED TV?

      • +2

Yeah I'm currently using a 2021 model but was impressed by how good the matte screen is last time I saw it in JB.

But $1,288 for a 75" QLED TV is a great price in any case

    • Who through that's very cheap.

    • do you mind sharing where did you buy this from?

      • JB last year old stock clearance online

do you mind sharing where did you buy this from?

  • Keen on the 55", but dont need a soundbar….

  • Anyone have a 75 and regret want to swap + cash to 65?

  • +1

have the 85" in this and would recommend. I'm not too bothered by the art mode personally but the mrs loves it, I'm more impressed with how flush it hangs against the wall!

  • +2

I'm not sure about Powerland as a vendor (https://www.powerland.com.au/samsung-65-series-ls-the-frame-…), but they are selling it for $1,799, plus soundbars are also on sale. You don't need to bundle a soundbar with the TV.

    • +2

They're great - have bought heaps from them before.
      It's Betta Electrical

    • bought my samsung soundbar from them via ebay. no issues.

  • Smart people would throw good money towards proper Oled.
For art lovers this probably beats buying another Picasso?

    • +9

Smart people would realise that not everyone has the same requirements as themselves… ;)

    • I watch about two hours of tv per week, but sit in the room for many, many times that. I’d rather a tv that looks like art when it is off…than one that is a work of art when it is on.

These suit my needs pretty well.

Though it would be cool if the best spec’d tvs also came in this form factor.

      • For its looks Samsung even boasts that it can be left on as an arts display. Stick in a preloaded stick with the art of your choice.
        Horses for courses.

      • Well the LG G2 OLED is similar form factor, thing design with wall flush mount. But OLEDs don't really like still images left on as they can be prone to burn in so the art feature is absent.

    • +2

Smart people would have an oled in cinema room and art tv in hang out lounge , get with the times old fella

  • +1

i'm still waiting for my QN90B from Samsung Online from Black Friday. Tbf it was sold out and pre ordered. Should be arriving soon, hopefully before the current year models are out xD

    • +1

Samsung has been doing great discounts on their online store since then, including through Members app and through Loyalty program..

      • I got the 85" for 3.5k. Highly doubt any deals would beat that even now. The 85s have been sold out on the website ever since.

      • Yeah, current loyalty is 30 percent off oleds, including the frame.

If online store drops, I'm biting.

        • +1

I got 30% off QLED Neo's and Frames, 30 off OLED would have been handy around Black Friday when S95B was half price..

          • @shabaka: Qleds! You're right. Thanks!

            • @denz: @denz what Samsung product did you quote to get 30%? The 55” TV I quoted was only getting me 15%

              • @jewboy: @jewboy Discount was for all of the neo qleds (I mistakenly put oled on my original post).

I followed the advice on here the other day. emailed [email protected] and told them all the Sammy stuff I had bought. They called me with discount

                • @denz: Cheers. Via online chat I’ve been getting max 15% so might have to keep trying different operators!

  • +2

with loyalty 30% off, 2021 Frame 65" was $923 from Samsung public web store. Same TV, just different screen treatment (2022 - matte, 2021 - semi-gloss)

Without loyalty discount was $1320 to anyone who wants one.

Frames are great TV's, can load whatever kind of imagery to display as a picture frame when it's off, and it works fantastic with Xbox series X or PS5 since it's got HDMI 2.1, 4k 120hz, VRR and ALLM, and super low input lag and response time.

Also B450 is nothing to write home about. it's not much better than A450 and that's going for $150 on Samsung web store for a reason. You'd want at least B650, and even better something that starts with Q

    • Agree I have 2x frames and they are great.

    • Even with the 30% discount, the prices are still >$300 more than they were just before Xmas.

Now that the 2023 model has been announced, I would be expecting prices lower than they were before Xmas….?

      • yeah, member discount was quite a hit with almost 50% off 2021 models

        • I am chasing a 2022 model, but waiting for prices to drop as mentioned they are higher vs last year.

          • @specwarop: QN85B 55" is $1329 now with loyalty % off, is that still high?

            • @shabaka: Is that the Neo, I was referring to the Frame TVs -, the 2022 55" was ~$1100 last year, currently ~$1450 with 30%
I believe with the NEO the slim wallmount is another $130.

              • @specwarop: yes that's a Neo. yep I got 2022 Frame 55" for $1100 with loyalty, but decided it's too small, and got 65" 2021 model for $900 same way

                • @shabaka: In my room I was thinking the anti-glare might be fairly critical unfortunately.

                  • @specwarop: yeah I guess no one size fits all. mostly use TV at night for gaming, dark room. during the day used by kids, but I couldn't care less about their opinion on reflection handling lol

                    • @shabaka: Looking on Samsung's site, I can only see the 2022 versions today.
I wonder are the 2021's gone by now?
                      https://www.samsung.com/au/lifestyle-tvs/the-frame/

                      $923 is a steal for a 2021 model.

                      • +1

@Deviner: looks like I grabbed the last one mate. they were in stock aplenty first half of January, a bit dearer at $1100 with member discount, I opted for QN85A for $1300 wanted to try something with full array dimming, but then learned it's IPS and returned, just in time for 65" 2021 frame to drop even more with 30% offered via loyalty

                        • @shabaka:

65" 2021 frame to drop even more with 30% offered via loyalty

I think no more stock everywhere.

                          • @superforever: keep checking, it went out of stock mid January, but on 18th when I looked again it was available, maybe someone cancelled

                            • @shabaka: The 2022 models just went on sale. $300 off ($1250 for a 55" 2022 with 30% discount)

                              • @specwarop: that's not a lot of drop, got 55" 2022 model for $1049 end of November

                                • @shabaka: On the members app, I can only see vacuums and washing machines/fridges with a discount as I write this.
When you guys say "via loyalty" - are you emailing the loyalty address each time with the model number etc and asking them about a discount? Or are you using online chat or something else?

I've a house full of Samsung products but I've literally zero points on that Samsung Rewards page as I only bought a Fold3 through Samsung's page (which may have been before Samsung Rewards was implemented).
Just checking in case I'm missing something obvious.

                                  • +2

@Deviner: yes I just email [email protected], they respond pretty quickly. I give them the model (or better models I am deciding between), because for example now there's 30% code that applies to QLED Neo (anything that starts with QN) and Frame only. and there's 15% code that applies to pretty much everything else (all other TV's meaning OLED and non-Neo QLED, soundbars, appliances - vacuums, fridges etc) - but not mobiles and accessories

for mobiles there's a separate 15% code that applies to all Z-S-A series phones, Galaxy Watch etc. but doesn't stack with trade in bonus

and if last but not least you want to use trade in bonus (which I did for S22 Ultra), there's a 10% discount that stacks with that, which is also not bad.

ON TOP OF THAT there's also Member discounts that live in Samsing Members app under Benefits section - they are usually worse than what you can get through loyalty, but the one they were giving around new year's was awesome because it was up to 50% off for 2021 model TV's and soundbars. some awesome deals were to be had there. once that was over, some deals got repeated through loyalty discounts, but most stock of 2021 models was successfully gone by then

                                    • @shabaka: You're a legend, thanks mate.
I checked your comments on previous posts about this but this is even more detailed and should help anyone else that's unsure as well - thanks heaps.
