I couldn't believe for this price. It's less than $6 per head. But have to keep in mind, this hotel is part of a hospitality school. They do their best.

    That does seem outrageously cheap.

    • It DOESN'T say free-flow wine on the ad, OP needs to edit that out… lol
"Enjoy two hours of Golden Ranges Sauvignon Blanc or Cabernet Merlot and free-flowing soft drink."

But an INSANE price nonetheless !!!

So not really free-flow wine, as 2 per person limit!

not too bad, but probably only feed about 25-30 ppl max.

i can eat one of each of the food item and a few extra of some.

    • I agree. It says free-flowing but than it is limited to 2 per person

      • Awesome, the whinging has started already…only on OzBargain! ;)

      • +2

        That means 4, 2 per person/hour + Food & venue.
I just wonder what a ozbargainer wants, might have to be free so they will be happy.

      • wine is 2 per person per hour, and there are 2 hours, so 4 per person max! beaten by 55 sec!

I went to a function at this venue earlier this month where the hosts (who were on a low budget) used an earlier release of such a deal. The venue itself I though was a bit tired looking, and the food was ok in taste but not so ok in being of sufficient quantity to feed the guests. I think the entirety of the food was served in 5 platters.

This deal would be fine if you're primarily after a private space/room to host your event, and do not expect to feed your guests a meal (lunch/dinner), ie treat the food aspect of this deal as finger food/snack portions (they are after all just a bunch of canapes).

  • wow, that is in-expensive.
