Wonder if JB HiFi will match that.

Use of a promo coupon code needed to get this price. It's a might not.

  • the code is not working

Find $240 more and grab the Pixel 7 - the camera is worth it

    • pixel7 or pixel 6a?

      • 6a

      • 6a's camera is better but the rest doesn't measure up to the A53. I guess an extra $240 is a lot for the P7's better camera. It's great, though.

        • I would spend more to get Samsung software tbh, their customization is unrivaled.

          • @nikoris: I would've said that before I bought the P7P last month. I like One UI. Samsung's flagship is too expensive for me now. I got the P7P 256GB for $1,149 at launch. The S23 Ultra 256GB will be $500 more.

    • That's like 50% more money.

May be Grey Stock - dont buy from ebay. Bad experiences in past.

    • +5

Yeah, I would have bought if it was black

      Just quoting from product description.
      'Warranty from digiDirect
All our products come with Samsung Australia Warranty.
Buy with confidence from a reputable seller. digiDirect does not sell grey-import or grey-market stock.'

    • From the eBay listing;

"Buy Samsung Galaxy A73 5G 128GB Grey with Samsung Australia Warranty from digiDirect
All our products come with Samsung Australia Warranty.
Buy with confidence from a reputable seller. digiDirect does not sell grey-import or grey-market stock."

FWIW MobileCiti sell AU stock not grey market afaik. A quick email to the eBay seller or buy it an check with Samsung based on the serial or IMEI and they should be able to confirm by their website says AU stock.

There are some Pixel 6a in Chalk for similar or even cheaper if you get a refurb, but I’d rather have a Pixel 7 and this is a killer price for an Samsung Galaxy A73 considering they have been back in the $700-$800 range for the past two weeks. If I could get a 6a Charcoal I’d seriously think about the Puxel but the A models have been dining the job for me. I will give myself an hour looking for a pixel 6a in charcoal at a similar price, if I can’t looks like I’ll be sticking with Samsung for a bit longer despite wanting to move to the Pixel. The number of complaints on the 7 and 7 Pro are still too many for a flagship phone.

Maybe I’m being harsh. I haven’t actually looked at problems on the 6a in comparison so I guess that’s worth doing before I pull the trigger.

    • I went from the A73 to a Pixel 7 Pro and it has worked faultlessly. I think that the majority of owners do not have the problems that are mentioned. Overheating, dropped calls and short battery life seems to come up regularly, but if you search for the same issues with Samsung, you'll see just as many complaints. That said, if I didn't get a good deal on the Pixel, I would have stayed with the A73. It's a surprisingly good phone.

    • If I could get a 512GB Pixel 7 Pro for 900ish I would grab it.

  • This phone has 4k at 30fps, anyone had any real life experience on how good or bad it is?

    • +2

I have one of these. The camera takes decent shots, but it's very slow. 4K video isn’t worth it since you're sacrificing image stabilisation. 1080P video is decent enough.

Otherwise, the battery life is very good and overall user experience is good. It's fast enough for daily use, def not a flagship but good enough for me. Display and screen is really nice. SD support I can't live without personally.

It's a good phone, def doesn't have the weird design flaws of most other mid range phones. I'd recommend waiting until it's closer to $400 at this point though.

  • Big fan of this phone been using it for months. Android 13 improved it even more.

Only 6 gig of ram for this price… Hmmm

      My thoughts too

"Only 6" on a mobile phone… jeepers. Words I never thought I'd read.

I found this YouTube video useful in getting up to speed with this phones features. Maybe it will help others too? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ucBecgkFio

Still waiting on a worthy upgrade for my OnePlus 7T that is in the same price range as what I paid for it a couple of years ago ($550). Seems like everything in this price range is a sidegrade at best. That battery life is really tempting me though.

Apart from Apple and Asus, who even does good specced phones in a compact size anymore? I have a fundamental dislike for big phones.

  • anyway to add ebay voucher or further discount?

  • Can anyone confirm if this is dual SIM. One website says yes another doesn't mention it. Official Samsung site does mention it.

    • +4

      Aus stock no dual sim

    • They always send the cheaper $h!t to Australia, while other regions get better snapdragon, and/or dual sims

  • It has 4 cameras and none of them are zoom?

  • For info, I bought this in June last year from Amazon (supplied by Amazon) for $634. It's a solid phone, coming from a Note 10+ it's not quite as quick (particularly the camera) but I went in expecting that. Overall would buy again.

  • -3

HUGE L FROM SAMSUNG MOVING AWAY FROM 3.5MM JACK, NO RADIO OTA, NO STEREO SPEAKERS AND NO OPTICAL ZOOM. THE FACT THEY CANNED PLANS FOR A74 A54 SERIES IS NAIL IN COFFIN. NOT EVERYONE WANTS OR NEEDS A $1500 PHONE. YES I AM SHOUTING

Just make sure not to update your samsung phone LoL

  • Hmm I am travelling in May… is this too soon to buy for TRS? (not technically as it's 60 days or whatever) but… will they have another ebay sale between late March and May?

  • This or wait for the next Samsung A series lineup..?

  • Trs requires purchase less than 60 days from travel date.

    • I said that in my comment… but what I am saying is would there likely be a sale like this again within those 60 days? because this is more than 10% of RRP.

      • Past might be a bad prediction of future… but you could see a pattern.

  • you can get it at samsung education until 8th feb for 559.30 with a further 50$ discount for signing up to their newsletter which comes to 509.30
