RRP for this is $36.06, stock up on S&S for $23.38 each. Works out to be $29.225 per kilo, the duck or chicken jerky would go for around $40 per kilo. Great price for as whole food dog treats as you can get in my opinion. BLACKDOG is an excellent brand with natural ingredients, I have bought all their other jerky and my dog loves them.

Chicken is also available for $20.24 S&S

My kids will love this thanks got 10

    • Did the last captain leave you for a better first mate, and left you with 10 kids? That's ROUGH! I'm starting a gofundme page for the current captain's jerky needs.

    Lucky dogs!

That's not a kind way to talk about iamthecaptainnow's kids!

The ingredients look "interesting". I wonder what the percentage of kangaroo meat is in there.
KANGAROO MEAT, CHICKEN MEAT, FLOUR, GLYCERINE (VEGETABLE), POTASSIUM SORBATE, COLOUR (124).
Personally I would consider this as junk food and try to pay more for a pure kangaroo jerky, not these jerky straps.

    • I agree, just comes down to cost for you at the end of the day

    • Packet says this

STRAPS: KANGAROO MEAT, CHICKEN MEAT, WHEAT FLOUR, GLYCERINE (VEGETABLE), POTASSIUM SORBATE, COLOUR (124). (PROTEIN 28%, FAT 11%, ME 3455 KCAL/KG) LIVER: 100% KANGAROO LIVER.
LOW FAT (PROTEIN 57.8%, FAT 19.2%, ME 3673 KCALIKG)

Insinuating there's a relationship between the name of a company that has a negative connotation and people of colour … is blatant racism.

Of the company of which you speak "The Black Dog Institute", usage of "The Black Dog" to refer to depression has appearances in literature going back to 190-159 BC, and even then it made no connection to people of colour.

The company in this post selling high quality treats for dogs of any kind with the mascot of a dog with a black fur coat (black hair) in this post, again which has no relationship to people of colour.

      Please take your racism elsewhere.

Get your hands off my jerky. Turkey.

    • This is probably my most quoted Apu line. I have no idea why.

  • These seem very hit and miss with texture/quality. Some we have bought have been very malleable/soft and others have been rock hard, yet the packet remains the same.

Dogs love them regardless. Good if you need to strengthen your arms by breaking them up.

    • Yeh bought a few at different times, once the beef strips looked like chicken (palish yellow colour) dog didn't really take an interest in them. Stopped buying this brand since.

Can I feed this to my son?

Only if you pat him on the head condescendingly.

I feel like you need to make this more obvious as a DOG treat. Not least of all, to stop people getting their hopes up!

BlackDog in the title doesn't do it for you?

BrewDog, MoonDog, BlackDog… all kinda sound the same

          Especially after a few, ha.

Can confirm… hopes were got up.

ikr?! Never heard of roo jerky was willing to see how it compares to biltong…

  • My dogs usually love duck or kangaroo jerky. But one wont eat these at all and the other will only eat if nothing else. I think it is all the additives they have in it.
