    wtf why would you need a heat sink for your SSD

      Because these gen 4 NVME SSDs legit get hot (over 100c), and they will also throttle when their temperature gets too high. Assuming you're already comfy with spending $300 on 2TB of storage (choosing speed over storage) then you likely would be concerned with throttling of your SSD.

    • M.2 ssd's can run VERY HOT! Some actually benifit from a certain amount of heat, but if they're constantly being used under heavy loads they throttle big time…. some slow down more than others.
      Some only need the motherboard heatsink, others need a more heavy-duty cooling.
      These are NOT your normal 2.5" sata ssd.
