I feel these are expensive considering nvme prices are close.

    • If you can't install a nvme.

    • these are ideal for me because i get heat issues with the crucial and kingston nvmes and require more attention to thermal pads and cooling etc.

with SSDs, i don't really need to care. just stick it in the pathway of airflow and it works.

      • I am definitely not arguing against its use cases. But faster memories are in this price range was my thought.

  • I succeeded once to get a Samsung cashback, after much forking around. Last time I tried and just gave up, not worth the bother.

Same. I've bought 4 Samsung drives with cash back option, managed to get one of them after multiple tries, emails and complaints. Designed deliberately to be as hard as possible to claim. Definitely don't rely on the cash back happening.

  • amazon isn't part of cashback I believe
