Thanks for this. I usually use Layrite but have used Uppercut before - at this price, will give it another shot.

  • benefits of this over wax? I've never used pomade

  • +1

Thanks, bought 2. Have used Matte Pomade for years. love it. Just be aware that these can dry out fairly quickly even with lid closed and then it's a bit hard to apply on hair.

    • I use this and the Easy Hold Light Cream (outer ring is a vanilla/cream colour) as a backup and its alot easier to apply with slightly less hold strength if preferable for some.

    • I second this.

Once it hardens, it starts forming chunks when trying to apply it and it is neither effective or aesthetically pleasing.

  • Thanks OP, willing to give it a go at this price.

So as someone who buys and loves this shit im dissapointed this is not actually UpperCut Deluxe pomade this is acctually "Uppercut Deluxe Featherweight Pliable Paste"

This is Uppercut Deluxe Pomade: https://au.uppercutdeluxe.com/products/deluxe-pomade?gclid=C…

    devo its featherweight

    • That's a good spot, title says one thing image says the other. Who knows what people will end up with now

    • +2

The same deal was also up in early January, and I had the same concerns. Matte pomade was delivered.

    • +1

I was thinking the same but the Featherweight is actually $33 and you can choose from three, Featherweight, Matt, and a Barbercollection. it definitely says "Uppercut Deluxe Matt Pomade 3.5oz - Medium Hold - Matte Finish" on the order details page.

  • Anyone used the product called MUK before??

    How does this compare?

    • +4

Yes. I'm not especially brand loyal when it comes to pomade / wax / paste / whatever you want to call it. I use them interchangeably.
My general rule of thumb is - if they're at a barber, they're decent.

If you don't want to spend the earth, "Jack the Barber" pomade is half price this week at Woolies ($7.50).

      I rate it.

      • I can't rate paying $15+ for something like this because like you I manage to find decent ones on sale for under $10

They all do the same job, some just have more brand powder and it varies how you wanna style your hair!

I like a Matt paste which is light, as I'm older and still have alot of hair but it's thinning slightly.

When I was younger I'd need something super strong to gold my hair but now I prefer light

Agreed on Jack the Barber. Bargain at $7.50. Haven't bought Muk since they entered the market and undercut all the premium brands.

I'm a Dapper Dan man myself

    • +2

      Thanks to George Clooney

    • I use both Dapper Dan and Uppercut clay products. Uppercut holds better and creates more volume but it is hard to apply and wash.

  • Wow. This is a good price! Bought two!

Did I wake up and it was 1950?

Everytime I read pomade I think of RDR2 lol.
    .

    .
    I use the Tenax pomade…

  • +1

I never use pomade on Arthur

  • Free delivery even for non prime members just fyi

  • Thanks OP, just bought new Matte Pomade but just bought 3 more to stock up from this deal, use it everyday.

  • i bought the limited edition pink matte pomade ;) sold out

  • amazing find! I do like this one but I use the red version more :(

    Shoryuken!

pay bit more and get hanz de fuko claymation, it's smaller but lasts longer and is a way better product

    • That is Petroletum + Beeswax based compared to water based, and also is super-high hold.
Wouldn't say they are directly comparable

      • +1

clay bentonite is better for your hair, plus if you want pomade there are far better ones than uppercut, like suavecito

  • +1

    Its showing $20.89

  • Layrite Superhold is definitely better than this.

    • +1

There will always be one product better than the other. At what price point should one consider one product over another.

  • What’s wrong with Brylcreem?

    • 'Cause just "…A little dab will do you!"

  • normally 11.95

  • Black & White, never been disappointed.

  • I notice some takes 3 God dam shampoos to wash out, but some wash out super easy.

    • That’s exactly why I love this one. This is water based and can be easily washed off even just with water. I have used other products in between but they all leave some residual on hands

  • quality stuff can confirm, have been using it for more than 8 years now.

  • Not sure if it's listed or even still for sale, but DO not buy the strong wax version. This shit does not come out of your hair 😂
