    lifts doors up to 60kg

I'm not sure what my double sectional door weighs but the one time I had to lift it manually it felt a lot heavier than 60kg.

You might want to adjust the spring tension

Needs a service, with properly tensioned springs the door will glide with very little effort.

It was a mess. One of the steel lifting cables snapped and 2 dynabolts that held the springs in place had failed and popped out of the brickwork causing the springs to lose tension.

I had to lift the door up manually to get the cars out. Service tech was 2 days away.

I was thinking that the door weighs more than 60kg but overlooked the fact that the springs do all the work of course.

ha! I need a new motor for my 80's build single panel tilta door. but 60kg aint gonna lift that sucker. its 100 easy.

  • I installed one of the Chamberlains for our roller door. I had to get someone out to adjust the springs etc.

I had this one last year and paid the full amount.(.. It is easy to DIY.

  • Is this model has terminals for opening/closing switch? Well I'm asking really just to check if it's compatible with smart garage openers popular on OzB.

    • I looked at the manual and it appears there are terminals and instructions to hook up a hard wired switch (which smart openers leverage I assume).

I bought this and am hoping it will work with Meross, but it's not listed as compatible. Though my 25 yo Merlin one worked and was not on the compatibility list either.

Will update once installed and tested

      • I still haven’t figured it out how the opener works. It supposed to simulate physical stateless buttons. My current garage motor is from Steel-Line, which is compatible with Meross. The opener can turn the motor on or off as expected, but if I put two wires into those terminals and short them manually, nothing happens.

        • I have installed this and got the Orion Smart kit. Connected to terminal 1 and 2 (have to strip cable back more as clips won't grab) and works flawlessly. My door is right on 10.5m2 and the little unit pulls it up with ease. The installation was a lot easier than anticipated. For the price, you can't go wrong!

  • Wonder if it will have enough reach for my 2.7m (height) door?

  • Make sure you check the contents of the box.
I bought last one, box looked like it was opened before: only the motor was in there, no screws, no remotes and the sliding rails were also not in the package.
Basically the motor and chain and some documents were the only things in the box.
Second Bunnings I went to: only 1 remote in the box.
