Probably shit warranty, use google translate for the site (Site seems to be reputable, considering the company has a market cap of 90 Billion USD), but I've never had a ram stick doa before, remember to choose "Third party Consolidation-Air Freight" for the cheaper shipping price, really good savings for Hynix A die, this will OC really high no problems, could buy two of these and still be cheaper than most A die guaranteed sticks, so even without stellar warranty this is a good deal

Steps:

  1. https://plogin.m.jd.com/login/login on your phone and follow instructions to register account
  2. Go to https://item.jd.com/100050612963.html and add to cart and checkout
  3. Select Third party Consolidation-Air Freight for shipping
  4. Pay the ¥75 consolidation+shipping once the item arrives at the warehouse
  5. Wait 7~15 Business Days
  6. Item arrives! (Hopefully)

Site seems to be reputable, considering the company has a market cap of 90 Billion USD

Amazon has a market cap of 1.05 trillion(USD) and sells these totally legit 16TB SSDs for just $130.

Amazon clearly aren't the seller though.

      • +1

Yeah JD are selling this one directly, so should be safe

        • Ok, that's an interesting model that they follow. This is a "self-operated flagship store".

  • This is really cheap for Hynix A die.

Yeah I bought 2*32GB sticks of A die for A$400, which is crazy, hope it turns up fine

      • If you could update us on what die you receive with Thaiphoon Burner, that would be greatly appreciated.

  • The problem is registering an account and paying which is just not possible. Any other warranty, delivery issues are just not the hassle compared to previous sellers.

    • You can register an account with an Aussie phone number and pay with an Aussie credit card, again I took the risk just because its around half the price of other guaranteed A die kits

      • Please share the instructions on registering with Australian telephone number.

        With "澳" or "a"

        未找到国家或地区

        • I did the registration on my mobile phone, so maybe that does the trick?

Hynix A die 32GB 6000mhz cl30 is aprox 200AUD in China, for this price you can only get M die cl40.https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/755669

No need to explain. Anti-China can find billions of excuses why jd sucks. If they can’t find any, they can make up trillions just like their American dad does all the time.

      • Things were way worse in 2020 when everything related to China was CCP and downvoted. You were treated like a spy for defending Huawei and Chinese products.

  • Actually, if you choose third-party parcel service, no GST is needed.

    • and much cheaper postage if you choose to pickup from warehouse.

Since when is this CnBargain? this site would be flooded with a whole lotta cheap crap if listing like this is allowed.

Maybe open up a sister site?

To the red army fan boys: No hate here guys, don't flame me. Just pure logic. 'Oz'Bargain.

Then we might need UkBargain and Usbargain too. :D

this site would be flooded with a whole lotta cheap crap if listing like this is allowed.

It already is flooded with cheap stuff from Chinese sites… AliExpress in particular.

      • Imagine ozbargainers that posts all the cheapest listing of the same goods off AliExpress and other chinese sites… it could DOS the site!

I see my comment has already been super-negged. I know there's heaps of ozbargainers that are of Chinese background and i don't mean to disrespect. I'm just trying to be logical here.

        • +1

Yeah I guess someone of Chinese background negged my comment too even though I was just pointing out a fact lol. Indeed, a large percentage of OzBargainers are Chinese. I didn't neg your comment btw.

  • If buying from China is easy, then no PC parts sellers in Oz will survive.

JD is actually an Amazon like platform in China and is 1st tier platform in electronic device and PC parts selling. But I believe there is no way you could claim warranty if you purchased from mainland website according to their policy.

  • Negative. Depending on where you buy on JD. As you mentioned, "JD is actually an Amazon like platform". If you buy from JD "Global trade", you will have warranty. I'm talking them right now for the Mi Phone I purchased last year and they are investigating warranty etc and told me it may need days.

  • As soon as you place the order you will start to get scammers calling out your name, your number, your address, your bank account……

    • No, they won't - don't be so dramatic.

      • I literally just bought 2 batches of items of taobao (the actual aliexpress) and it has already happened 3 times - A caller from the Chinese import and export department apparently. And this is not the only time it happened, I get scam calls that want me to pay for the GST for a DSL parcel sometimes when I order stuff from China. So no, not being dramatic, they legitimately sell your whole shipping address information every time you place an order on these Chinese websites.

    • MSY lol
