2x HP P24h G4 FHD 23.8" FHD IPS Anti-Glare Monitor $298 + Delivery ($5 to Metro/ $0 NSW/VIC C&C) + Surcharge @ Centre Com

80

Centrecom has a buy 1 get one free for these HP anti-glare monitors. It comes with speakers, HDMI, display ports, and good height adjustment on the stand. I have already bought 1 for myself and a free monitor for my partner at no cost! The 23.8-inch is perfect for my new office setup. Scorptec had the same monitor for the same price and not $298 for 2 of them! Makes sense to me when you're looking at each monitor costing only $149. Its one of the fattest deals I have seen when regarding HP monitors which are usually way too expensive. (Might get another set too!)

    Tell em the price son.

And the store in the title.

Link to page is broken also. Should be.

  • Wrong link? Maybe this one?

And those monitors allegedly are only 250 nits, so might not be suitable depending on the environment you intend to use it in?

Also, that title needs the price and the store.

Yuck, 43 inch or bigger is the only way to go

    • For $300?

      Does size matter??

    • If you're sitting a metre and a half away!

      • If you don’t sit that far away with two screens why would you when the screen is joined together. It’s the strangest thing people obviously commenting before they have even tried it.

        • Unless you mean a 49" which is widescreen, a 43" isn't two screens joined together, very different aspect ratio. I've only tried a 32" at the distance I sit (about 80cm), and it was a smidge too big, the very edges were quite close to my peripheral vision. A 43" I would have to sit further back.

    • At 43" +, you'd have to go a higher resolution. Anything over 27", the pixel pitch is too big… everything would be blocky. For FHD, stick to 24-27". 1440p 32" and over. 49", 4k…. otherwise the pixels would be blocky'ish

  • I currently use 2 laptops.
Would I be able use 1 of these monitors and switch between laptops, or even view both side by side on the 1 monitor?

    • +2

Side by side viewing. Likely no.

Switch between laptops. Plug one in the hdmi port. The other using hdmi to display port cable. Then switch input source using the monitor buttons.

    • +1

buy a KVM switch for switching between them.

Both side by side on the same monitor isn't something I've seen, nor something you'd want to do on a 24" monitor.

      • Yeah kvm is an option and can do keyboard and mouse sharing as an added benefit.

I do agree its not ideal to do side by side on a 24" screen. Gotta be bigger to make it even somewhat useful.

    • It's a two for one deal, just put on monitor on each laptop

  • A quick look at Amazon shows a few 24 inch IPS monitors around the $150-170 mark including Samsung and LG. How do I tell if these hp ones are better or worse?

I'm looking at a couple of new screens for home office, and I don't need any higher resolution, but there are lots of options…

    • Short of seeing them side by side in person. Next best thing is reading reviews on it. Comparing features. Ticking those that interest you.
