Cheapest I have seen this so far, already got 2 of these. I checked all corners of my house to try and justify adding 2 more at this price, but just couldn't! Hopefully some of you are in the market for these and grab this bargain.

Note: UK stock.

My personal experience,
XD6 is dual band, so if you have ethernet backhaul this is a no brainer, no need to spend more on their XT models (which I think are all tri band)
I get around 650/40 on Wifi 6 devices and the extremes of my double storey house easily get 250/40 (40 up is just limited by my ISP plan)
I wouldn't look to be getting higher spec/ speed WIFI routers unless you got a 1+gig ISP plan and your house has the infrastructure to support this (you need to ensure your house has Cat6A or above running through it).

    Being UK model

MAXIMUM AX PERFORMANCE: Up to 5400Mbps speed with Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) and 160MHz channels
    Control from the mobile app:

There wre only 80MHz channels as on the 5ghz range channel 124 is disabled for UK models.

Since you'll be using ethernet back haul, it shouldn't be too much of an issue as vast majority of devices wont be able to use it anyway.

  • Sorry what does this mean?

I’m getting lots of dead spots around my house. I’ve got NBN fttc. Would the UK model be an issue for me?

    I’ll be using wireless backhaul

    • Setting up a mesh wifi would help deal with black spots.

Not ideal for wireless backhaul. Also, stay away from UK models unless you know what you are doing.

    • yeah - big house - no no to anything UK

cheap asus AUS router is miles better then top end UK junk - I learned the hard way

UK model=Trash due to power limit on routers

    • My isp is 100/40, would this still be an issue?

      • Signal strength and LAN speed, NBN bandwidth not necessarily matters

    • Didn't know there was a difference on UK models.

    • What?

  • It's a nitpick, but Cat6 should do 1000Mb/s no problem (up to 100 metres), so should be sufficient for most home backhaul. Don't need to spnd the extra on 6a (if it costs extra..).

Might be good for future-proofing though..

    • It was a comment for those looking at 1000+mb/s speeds.

do not spend this money on anything UK - its a weak signal that cuts out - if you are trying to stream to few 4k tvs it will crack under pressure.

      • Could I pls have a source for this, didn't think there was any difference

        • plenty of sources online - UK routers are lower powered and are missing channels vs Ozzie ones
I also have an UK router that i bought off amazon for $180 and its $350 here - half price and wifi coverage is half of a cheaper ozzie one I bought as mesh.
you dont need to trust me but thats what it is, I wouldnt buy UK again
