  Still contemplating what to get for my Legion 7 2021 AMD pcie 3.0.

  This or the WD 1tb sn770 or sn570 or Kingston a2000 1tb.

  To be used as a 2nd drive and for games.

  Would these any of these 3 that are gen 4 still be better than a a2000 gen3 in a gen 3 only laptop?

    I am assuming even tho sequential read and write would be limited, the laptop will still benefit from faster random read and write which would be much below pcie 3 specs.

  this is a great price I'd be happy to go this even for a 2nd drive. Gen 4 is backwards compatible with gen3. Even if it is overkill, you might even have the opportunity to repurpose it to another PC later on in its life.
