    Be aware that WD portable drives come with, but require their own unique usb cable. Generic cables, suitable for other brands of drives, won't fit.

    All these overpriced external HDD deals just make me remember the $25 1TB Staples deal even more fondly.

      Are you sure about getting a 1TB from Staples for $25? I got their big opening special one for $25 but it was 320gig ,USB2 ,Verbatim.

    WD Passport 750GB is something like $97 at JB right now. Much better deal.
