Yes, it's listed on the reolink website for about $157 and this is more. But… it has NOT been made available in Australia as yet, reolink and its various resellers can't seem to give a ETA and the $157 does not include delivery. So, for those that don't want to wait, Amazon US.

A PoE doorbell that can hook into your NVR. For those sick of waiting on Reolink (it's been nearly a year of waiting).

This item will be released on February 20, 2023 (US time).

  • I was going to order on their website. Didn't know it's not in stock.
I think it's the cheapest POE doorbell in the market. I was a bit hesitant though since it has a very wide horizontal angle which is not ideal for my porch. But still I may give it a go.

Been waiting forever to see it in stock on the AU site. Might bite the bullet with this one…
    Works with Home Assistant apparently

    • I'll soon find out. It's meant to work flawlessly with my NVR.

  • Cant do NVR, anyone know how many hours on average can be stored in 256gb microsd?

    • Enough for someone to Jimmy the camera off the wall and walk away with it :P

    • +1

Should be quite a bit. It won't record everything, but if it is like the rest of the reolink stuff, you can set it on motion with a pre-recording

    • It's easy to remove from the wall unfortunately.

  • I've had a terrible warranty experience buying reolink through a reseller. I don't think the discount would be worth buying from anyone but reolink, or even not buying reolink at all. Their RMA process is to do troubleshooting then refer you back to the vendor. I've felt like I've been playing "corporate avoid responsibility tennis" with them. In the meantime I've been without a security camera for over three weeks now.

Wow… i have got a sleuth of their products, nothing has ever failed.

      • "….a sleuth of their products"

Is that the collective term for security products?

    • +1

Opposite. I had a good experience with the warranty. Although, I bought a Reolink POE camera from the Reolink store of Aliexpress. Water went into the POE port in the rain and damaged the camera. They sent a new one.

    • Wow thats not good at all… Reolink support directly has been great for me… Still need to troubleshoot but that was easy and quick in my experience (working directly with Reolink)… Sounds like it might be the 'reseller' giving you some drama unfortunately, maybe try reach out to Reolink directly to see if they can help but they might send you back to the resellers I'm thinking if they are the ones to took your money they are most likely responsible for the after sales/support possibly…

    • I had no worries with reolink direct. Had one camera that wouldn't turn on after a year in the elements. Instead of asking me to send in the broken camera they just sent a new one. Now I have a spare battery to swap out easily instead of removing, recharging and replacing.

    • +1

I had a problem with a camera and confirm the same experience. They will leave you to the mercy of the reseller.

    • I think the point of the story is, don't bother purchasing through resellers.

I’ve been waiting for one of these since they were announced.
I might just bite the bullet and order it from Amazon US, thank you.

  • The chime will need a power adaptor

    • Wifi model needs power, PoE model needs network cable and PoE switch.

Edit, yes chime part would need a US to AU adapter (is the chime optional? I wouldn’t use that part)

      • Chime comes with it, I'd prefer to use it as my wife tends to ignore technology, notifications on her phone, calls, electronic beeps.
If the chime sticks out of the wall my wife will find a watly to bump into it across the other side of the house and take it off the wall

        • I'll recede the powerpoint for that so it won't happen :D

        • Sorry, I meant optional to use?
Can I just leave the chime in the box?

      • will the chime work with 230v?

  • Thanks OP ordered one..Although paid AUD $176.91 (instead of $172.83 AUD)

    Order Summary
    Items: AUD 144.86
    Shipping & handling: AUD 12.56
    Total before GST: AUD 157.42
Estimated GST to be collected: AUD 15.75
Exchange rate guarantee fee: AUD 3.74
    Order total: AUD 176.91

  • Would the wifi version work here? Considering reolink wireless cameras and nvr but need a wireless doorbell too.

  • Pity, since I have two Reolink PoE cameras - but I couldn't wait without a doorbell any longer. Picked up a Nest Doorbell Battery instead.

dang it! I wish I requested for the sparky to install network port next to my entraince…it's too late now, dependent on battery now…

    • +1

You can still call a sparky to put a ethernet cable for the doorbell.

  • why should we buy this one instead of the Google door bell?

    • PoE.

    • Latency of anywhere from 2-10 sec when detecting motion, pressing the button etc.
Very locked down so you can't set it up with Home Assistant or any other local type NVR system; only their cloud.
Have to replace the battery every 1-2 months whereas the POE one is directly powered and doesn't suffer wifi drop outs.

Come on Reolink Australia get organised and start selling these already!!!!

  • I notice it says pre-order for the 17th Feb… gonna wait until then and see if the Australian one becomes available then too! If not I'll grab this one… been waiting months for it to become available so I can replace my unreliable Google Nest Doorbell (battery)

  • Can I attach this doorbell on the side wall, I am worried about the viewing angles if its put on a side wall. Can we move the camera once its fixed to the wall?

    • I think it comes with a wedge plate to help angle it a bit but it looks like only by a few degrees.

      • This is when you buy a 3D printer.

        • Or go to a local library for free 3D printing

  • Currently unavailable now

  • Anyone get a shipping notification yet?

    • Not yet for me - however it's back in stock and estimated delivery is March 9-14th so hopefully won't be long.

      • Just got an update of 9-14 March for shipping date. :( was getting excited.

    • Just got a shipping notification with an estimated delivery of March 13

  • This is now available on Reolink Australia site for $179.99 for POE and $197.99 for WIFI version. Just cancelled my Amazon US order.

  • from warranty purpose, does it matter whether we have ordered through amazon US? mine is already shipped and expected to reach next week. should I cancel US order and buy again via reolink australia website, as its available now?

    • Its out of stock in Aus now.

  • Can anyone confirm if the doorbell Australian version chime come with a AU plug or is just the US plus version with an adaptor.

    • If you buy from reolink AUS site it should have Au plug.
Also Reolink doorbell supports upto 5 chimes - once stock levels improve Reolink will make it available as add-on to buy but unsure when.

    • Bought it from AU Reolink AU website and it just got delivered. I can confirm that it is with AU adaptor.

      • So you got the US version with an AU adaptor, even when brought from Reolink AU, is this correct?.

        • No, it's with AU plug and no us adaptor required.

  • My doorbell has arrived from Amazon.

  • Is anyone interested in the Amazon Reolink doorbell version (not yet received)? In brief, I initially ordered from Amazon USA and then canceled, and purchased from Reolink (Aus). Later Amazon emailed me that they were not able to cancel it.
