    I played an almost obscene amount of wc3 back in high school (actual wc3, not dota) - I’m also waiting for a sale to get it just for the memories.

        Well, each to their own. People play WoW in official servers and pay monthly fees. Others play private servers with mods and pay something or nothing.

  How on earth are people paying $45 to play Starcraft 2, a game released in 2010?

  It's been a very long time since I paid for anything on battle.net. Do we still need to use debit/credit cards that don't charge foreign transaction fees in order to avoid foreign fees?

    To answer my own question, looks like it was processed through France according to my bank. Just as well I used a card without a fee. Honestly would prefer if everything was priced in USD. Haven't kept up with Blizzard prices lately but AUD used to always cost more than the USD price in the past. We get ripped on the price and then unsuspecting customers cop additional fees on top.
