Sold my copy of horizon forbidden west yesterday - lucky..

    • Good timing.

    • Darn, too late for me :(

      • +3

You might be alright. A lot of folks just subscribe for the online gaming and monthly stuff, not to mention there’s no indication these games are coming to Extra unless you follow them online or sub here.

Get her up on eBay and keep the fingers crossed. 🤞🏻

      • Put it up on Facebook for a better price than others you see and it will be gone before you know it. Also more people than you realise don't have ps+

    • Me too, just got delivered on eBay, what happens if he returns it lol. That 10$ from JBhifi is looking worth it now.

    • Not so much for whoever bought it!

  • +28

Forbidden West so soon? Woah nice! :D

    • +2

Also new DLC for it to drop soon too !!

  • +4

There goes the sign that I should renew my membership.

    • +1

For me is not to renew

  • +6

Damn Paid $30 for Horizon Forbidden west and didn't play it yet.

    • +1

      Me too 🤣

    • +3

I bought mine at launch and only started playing it :(

      • Me too. Started playing about a month ago

      • Same. I played for like a week and then GOW Ragnarok came out and I never picked it up again.

  • +3

Just started playing zero dawn for the first time, nice timing when I finish it it 3 months.

Although I was hoping to start the last of us part 1 but waiting on a sale from Amazon. Never played before and could play remastered for free, but seems might be worth the money as a first experience.

    • +1

Same here, play TLOU Remastered for 15 mins but stopped and wait for the sale of the part 1 ps5 version. Looking for second-hand on the fb marketplace at the same time as well.

      • +3

I'm guessing the popularity of the show has people rushing to buy it, so I'm not expecting it to go down in price much until that hype dies down, but who knows

      • Currently $93ish on play store. I would grab it at that.

    • Definitely definitely hold off till you can get your hands on Part 1.

Remastered is absolutely fantastic quality but if you can play part 1 instead, it will be worth the wait.

      • Thanks, I really should just pay the $95 now.

        • +4

It's worth it (OzB are gonna h8 reading that). I've played the remastered and it was so good, before I'd even gotten halfway through it I bought TLOU Part 2. TLOU Part 2 was just ridiculously good-looking; definitely the best looking game I have ever played and I challenge anyone to point out a game with better fidelity graphics. The remastered TLOU was really really good, so part 1 having the same/better graphics than TLOU 2 is just a no-brainer.

Story-wise they're both heart-wrenching; I never get emotional playing games but both those games are so heart-wrenching!

    • You may also consider paying via Turkish Lira, comes out to be about $62 AUD which is a great price. Of course, this requires your PS account set up via Turkey as per some previous posts.

  • +2

Wow its a big one this month.

  • +9

Wow that’s an insane month. Meanwhile I have horizon here sealed still lol. Sigh… guess I’m trading that in to get whatever I can get for it.

    • Annoying thing is JB sold it unsealed to me (brand new, but on sale).

      • +1

They should still take the return provided it's within 30 days

        • +9

Lol I’ve had it since launch. Turns out a baby takes up a lot of you’re spare time lol.

          • +2

@dwhes: Hahaha that's the truth. Particularly those mature games (God of war, cyberpunk etc) that you just want to play but don't find the time outside your parenting role

        • Unfortunately I bought it more than 30days ago. Just didn't have time to play it yet.

  • +1

    Woaw! What a line up!

  • +1

    Not bhed.

  • +2

Well my horizon foridden west is officially dropped to zero price now

  • +9

Having forbidden west coming to PS+ extra only a year after release sets a good precedent.

  • +6

FML I own every single title of this month's games. But everyone will have a blast. All the games are top notch ..

  • +21

I feel like some people in here think its the essential games and not the extra hahaha

    • +7

Honestly most people should be subbed to extra. It’s where the real value clearly is.

      • +8

My backlog is big enough with the physical games i own but its definitely a great option for others without that for sure

      • +2

Nah man I save money buying only the games I actually want to play. Subs are duds

  • +5

It's such a funny thing that a program that attracts you to using a Playstation in the first place also stops you buying older AAA games for fear of being burnt.

    • +5

Xbox just announced that gamepass is eating into its game sales. Next gen won't be a disc generation it will be gamepass/digital purchase model for sure now that both big parties have joined the PC scene of discless gaming

      • Sony and Xbox are dumb enough to ruin the golden goose that is mixed media ownership options. Nintendo seems like they’ll be the hold out.

Idk why they’re desperate to end up like Hollywood

        • +1

-Idk why they’re desperate to end up like Hollywood

You'll own nothing and like it!!
everything is turning into a subscription model

      • +1

Being locked into one store in a not the same thing as the freedom you get on PC. Calling them both ‘diskless’ as if they are in any way the same is missing a huge difference.

If I won’t be able to buy and sell my console games, there is no point me buying the next generation console.

        • +1

Same. I've been waiting for governments to force them to allow game/media licenses to act like physical property and become resellable. We should be able to trade and buy/sell game keys, movies, music, ebooks and audiobooks to one another. There's no reason a 2nd hand digital market shouldn't exist already.

Until that time, I'll stick with the console manufacturer that continues to gives me the choice of physical and digital.

    • +2

Not if you prefer physical over digital. Plus you have to keep paying a subscription to play them right?

    • +3

Ill keep buying physical tbh unless sony can show that they can archive games correctly so that theyre still playable many years later

  • -1

Hmm Forbidden west on PS+ already. Somehow this gives me impression they are going to release a PC version of the game soon then.

  • So will these be available to all future subscribers? Or do you need to be a subscriber at the time they're added?

    • -1

You need to be a subscriber and claim these games during the month.

    • these are the games that will be included in the playstation version of game pass, ps plus extra, and will only be available to play as long as they are in the ps plus extra library. as long as you're subscribed to ps plus extra, or ps plus deluxe, you'll have access to these games.

  • The image would suggest Horizon and Resident Evil are only available on Premium/Deluxe. Scarlet Nexus and Borderlands 3 on Extra. Might need to update the deal.

    • Nah that’s just the image from the guy who leaked it on Twitter. Go to the twitter link and it confirms will be both extra and deluxe/premium.

  • +1

Any idea when would the next ps+ subs sale?

    • I'd love to know as well, got a yearly sub coming up, $154.95 danggg

      • That's less than 2x new release games.

  • Sweet.. glad I upgraded PS plus to extra when they had the black Friday discount…

  • Forbidden West is on Premium tier not Extra.

  • +1

A big question is will RE7 be the upgraded PS5 version for PS5 owners? They already have the original version from the Playstation Collection but have so far been denied access to the upgraded version through PS+.

  • +2

Weird, I thought we had already gotten Resident Evil 7 - I must be thinking of the PS Collection that came with PS5? That must've been the PS4 version, so I hope this will be the PS5 version!

  • new to PS world here: which subscription has these? Deluxe, Essential or Extra?

    • +4

Extra and deluxe. Deluxe has all the benefits of extra + some classic games and trials of select few newer games but imo not worth the $, get extra instead.

  • epic month, so glad I don't have to buy forbidden west. As much as I enjoyed the story in the first game, I never fell compelled to buy the 2nd game becaue wasn't much fan of the characters and gameplay.

    • I adored the first and while I got some decent reps of the second it isnt anywhere near as special. The story is lame and while some mechanics are better polished others are worse (such as climbing). Worth a shot just to see the new world

    • The cost of upgrading to PS+ Extra/Premium is more than it was to just buy the game outright.

  • +2

Seeing the full list now that it became official is even better too.

Legend of Dragoon and Wild Arms 2 in the Classics! A few more gems in the standard PS4/5 list too like Forgotten City.
    Great month all around.

  • +6

Confirmed by Sony and games are for both extra and deluxe/premium. Also includes more titles. Probably best tomidoatw the post. https://blog.playstation.com/2023/02/15/playstation-plus-gam…

  • +2

I am surpriced with the psvr 2 coming out next week they haven't put up any VR games for next months selection.

  • I just started HZD a couple weeks ago and should be finishing it around when these get added to PS+. Super stoked with the timing.

  • I thought I read they were coming to the Premium subscription service? ie PS’s Game Pass competitor.

I find it hard to believe they’ll give these out as free money games.

    • that's what they are. ps plus extra is the "middle" ps plus tier, which is playstation's version of game pass. these games will only be available so long as they are in the ps plus extra library.

      • Ah, I see.
Sony’s naming scheme is atrocious. I have “Deluxe” apparently, but had to look it up to know what it was called.

  • Wait, so if I have played through the 5 hours trial for Forbidden West, and when I get my hands on this, will I just be able to continue or start all over?

  • +2

there seem to be quite a few people thinking that these will be the "free" ps plus games.

these are the games that will be included in the playstation version of game pass, ps plus extra and will only be available to play as long as they are in the ps plus extra library.

    • Who is thinking that?

      • one
        two
        three
        four

a couple of them commenting that it's a "great month", which i take means they think these are the "free" ps plus games for the month. since games on ps plus extra last longer than a month.

not sure why you're questioning just me when someone else made a comment similar to mine.

        • +1

I wasn’t “questioning” interrogation style. It was legit out of curiosity. Apologies if it came across that way.

I would still state it as “month” as each month the Extra and Premium tiers are announced.
It doesn’t mean that I think they’re a part of the standard tier service. But I can still see how people will confuse the two.

          • +1

@Rimzi: ah ok yeah, sorry for seeming confrontational too. yep i see your point, just hoped to make a comment so people who were maybe confused about the two could see the distinction between this and the "free monthly" games that essential and up can get.

    • -1

Well they are making essentials zero value

  • +4

    This should be added:

    PS+ Extra:
Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown (PS4)
    Borderlands 3 (PS5, PS4)
    Earth Defense Force 5 (PS4)
    The Forgotten City (PS5, PS4)
    Horizon: Forbidden West (PS5, PS4)
    I Am Setsuna (PS4)
    Lost Sphear (PS4)
    The Quarry (PS5, PS4)
    Okinaki (PS4)
    Outriders (PS5, PS4)
    Resident Evil VII Biohazard (PS4)
    Scarlet Nexus (PS5, PS4)
    Tekken 7 (PS4)

    PS+ Premium:
Harvest Moon: Back to Nature (PS1)
    The Legend of Dragoon (PS1)
    Wild Arms 2 (PS1)
    Destroy All Humans! (PS4)

    • +1

awesome, thanks for the full list. i was waiting for the quarry and destroy all humans to get a bit cheaper. guess i don't have to now

    • Finally The Legend of Dragoon comes to the Australian PSN Store!
Anyone know if it'll have trophies and be purchasable separately?

      • It's $14.95 and has trophies

  • Best month ever!! Might actually upgrade to Deluxe, if Sony stops being so lazy and added more actual classics then Deluxe would be a banger. Not sure why Destroy All Humans! (PS4) is locked in Deluxe though

    • +1

They put anything they can classify as a remake in there, to try and boost the value proposition for that tier.

  • So if I were to sign up for a month just to claim these, and the PS Plus Collection before that expires (or has it already?) I can stockpile for a future date (no longer have a PS5 but will again in the future)?

    • +1

the ps plus collection will always be accessible for you as long as you have a ps5 and an active ps plus subscription (once you have added them to your library).

the games in this deal are a part of ps plus extra, which is playstation's version of gamepass. you can only play these games with a ps plus extra subscription as long as they're still in the ps plus extra library.

so tldr: you can't subscribe for a short time and "claim" these games. you can only play them with a ps plus extra subscription, provided they are still in the ps plus extra library.

    • Yes.

  • Does ps plus usually go on sale? Been eyeing to subscribe since jan

    • +1

Not often but at least twice a year, usually a discount on Black Friday

    • +1

usually towards the end of year.

  • Can the vouchers purchased on this deal be used to purchase or renew PS Plus?
