  • Asko are good, but not not as good as they used to be. We have one and the soap holder area rusted quite badly plus the general fit and finish just is not as solid as the Asko of old. Feels like thinner sheet metal and cheaper plastics

    Read the posting rules.

Also, title is misleading as most of these are seconds with damage

These appear to be their normal prices for damaged stock items, in some cases, the prices have actually increased.

This is just an advertisement for their clearance centre, it is not a bargain.

Not sure if you actually looked at the stock and the pricing JV, but when they say "scratch and dent" most have a tiny little mark on it and that's it. Not going to affect the performance or warranty (you will likely do similar damage to it yourself within the first year anyway or during transport and installation). Full warranties apply. From what I can see, the entry level W2084C is available for $1199 with a small dent/scratch or $1499 for a brand new. Everywhere else (online and instore) have this model for $1999 for a new in box. What is the issue here? i don't think looking at past pricing (whether it be 3 months, 6 months or 3 years) really has anything to do with it. Are you able to find a cheaper price for the same product??

  • I would suggest the OP or mod add $1499 for a new one into the heading/description also.

  • Yea I got offered a deal recently from JB for prices not far off of these prices… i keep hearing about them lasting but the warranty is still the same as every brand?

  • Good prices but i bought one of these and had a problem. Asko was very slow to respond and made it very difficult to claim under warranty. They eventually put in service call but very disappointing for a fault immediately after being installed. Better spending the money on german built bosch model instead.

  • Steer Clear, I bought a Asko front loader 7 years ago and its completely stuffed.

Asko repairs never called or emailed back after numerous emails and calls so i gave up with them. I had an Independent repairer quote to repair, parts alone to replace the tub bearing was ~$800.

Moral of the story, its cost me like $350 per year of ownership, 100% not worth it. Buy anything else.
