    I've never purchased this item, but your comment wouldn't particularly deter me. It seems that the main goal is to stop people breaking into a hotel room or something of the sort, not a permanent solution.

    This should be taken as constructive feedback by the seller, and try to fix that issue….

  The knob doesn't fix there as shown in the picture.

  Recently got and cannot say what previous buyers have gone through, but it's okay for me (for this price): A milled and pressed bit of steel with a spacing knob in a packed sleeve. So: You get the main piece, the bit to go where the adequate space is, and a wallet-style sleeve to house it all in (with instructions).

  Yes, it's cheaply-made from the outside, but factoring a small-production-run and an equally-small-business here; it's acceptable, and seems to work from what I've tested. Your results may vary: try at your own risk, yadda-yadda, but please don't get elite over something this basic.

  (And yes, I got two of these things. $6. Delivered. A fair exchange in this current market)

  If you're expecting to be swatted, nothing you buy will stop 'em.
