  • I really need to call Westpac. I keep applying online and they never get back to me :(

    Good deal otherwise

Happened with me as well. Apparently they were calling me back on my 10 year back discontinued number as I had account with them then. Just go to branch if you have nearby.

  • Got it and tracked for both $10 and 2.5% cashback

  • Tracked. Thanks op

Just a note - we need to fully pay these with the WP card to get the $10 (cant use Shopback credit)

I didn't realise this - i used the $6 credit on my first $100 purchase. Just had to buy an additional $10 gift card to make up the difference to get the cashback.

    bought 4 x $25 and tracked.

it's better to get lower amounts to combine with other westpac deals

This is the way to go, true ozber 💪
I personally would go even lower, some $10/15/20 for more flexibility if you tend to purchase smaller items like I do

      • Yeah I went 10,10,25,15,20,20

      • Sorry - I don’t get why smaller amounts are better. Can you give me an example? 😬

Actually if you have SB super swap GC, then getting a single $100 here shouldn’t matter since you can break down the rest whatever needed via the swap.

Paying total amount with part-GC and part-WP works, each cashback will be of the full amount. So you should strive to pay up mostly with your discounted ebay GC, then pay a tiny amount using your WP card that’s linked to your SB account. Double or even triple dipping that way.
So having smaller denomination GC combination helps to pay up the majority of the total.
This is my latest proof of how it works.

          • @noelhoi: Woah… lost for words. Thanks mate!

with amazon or kogan sure, But with eBay na not really, since you cannot use more than 7 or 8 gift cards in 1 single transaction

      • it's all relative to the price of the item of course. just get a good mix

'Cap $20' confuses me as it says one per one account. Can anyone enlighten me please?

    • +1

Someone needs to have a crack at 2 X $100 cards in separate transactions and report back .

    • Yer would be great @spending $200 for $60 cash back ^^ rinse repeat

    • +3

They're 2 separate deals. Ebay 10% back $20 cap is not gift card related.

  • Gez. Time to get a Westpac card!

    • I was reluctant for quite long before giving up

does this work if I use partial Cashback to pay for the gift card?

    • +1

Your question has been answered as a separate comment above

    • +1

I think you can, but the amount paid through your WestPack card should be at least $100? Which means using partial cashback to pay does not really make sense? I think maybe that's the logic.

      • +1

Yes, correct. Minimum $100 payment for gift cards. For purchases of goods from eBay on the other deal you can pay mostly with GCs.
