    I have one as well and it works fine. The only issue is that its display has faded within months due to sun damage, so I can't reprogramme it anymore.

      Ahhh, I haven't had that issue… I have my screen pointed south so the sun is never on the screen, I orientated it that way expecting the clear cover to get sun damaged like what happened with others I had in the past……

  I bought myself a LinkTap after someone recommended here on Ozbargain and OMG it’s a fantastic piece of kit! Highly highly recommended. Made in Australia as well. The features that it has I don’t think any other automatic water tap even comes close.

  I have an Orbit Hyve with wifi Hub. The device itself is quite frustrating to set up and has patchy connections. The menu system is also complex AF. But once the configuration works, it's relieving especially on a 30+ degree day with new lawn. The saving grace is that there is a HACS integration so you can use HA for the brains bit to turn the tap manually on and off per your requirements.

  Had a Rain Bird supplied with my House & Land package a few years ago, still going strong. Would buy again.

  Only trouble I've had with it was when the battery meter went down to 2/3rd's, the timer would reset after the first run (pretty sure batteries weren't past expiry either). Replacement batteries sorted it.
