lol the pink one was $5 a few weeks back. That's as much as I'd pay for one of these…

Bunnings got something similar for $15 anyway.

$5 is the way to go

I got this in the last deal, the 5 and 2 year old are crazy about the sea life film. For the best clarity of the silhouettes, don't bother with the plastic cover.

  • I'm looking to get something similar as a present for a 5 year old child. Does anyone have any good recommendations? I don't mind paying considerably more, if it's highly rated.

    How about this one?

Kmart Genio one is a few dollars cheaper and integrates with Alexa and Google and also works with generic apps like SmartLife. Only down side is green laser for the stars. (Green is one colour you can't get in a star, because black bodies never glow just in a narrow green band…that's why stars are red/blue/white - they glow in a spread of colours peaking in that colour).

Hey @gasman70 checkout Galaxy Lamp 2.0 these are considered one of the better ones. I did just purchase one myself even tho they are kinda expensive. Don't regret it, works really well in our dark movie room.

Little tip, add the Lamp you want to your cart and go through the steps as far as adding your email. Close the browser, and after a few days they will email you a promo code for 15% off, then a few days later 30% off.

    • Thanks guys. I will check them both out.

But the most important question is , can this keep the monster away from under my bed ?
I'm fine if it just stays in the cupboard..

We read a book that said the minty breath from toothpaste keeps the monsters away. Kids now want to brush their teeth and we haven't seen any monsters since

      • This is so cute ,
what's the name of the book?
        Asking for a friend .

Been trying to remember it. It was a library book which we've since returned.

It was great cause it also made the monsters out to be really tiny, so the threat went away.

I must admit i struggled with the whole thing of legitimising monsters vs explaining monsters aren't real… But their imaginations are going to do what they do… So best to work through them than fight it.
