So people can't see the notification on their app but scroll through Ozbargain?? I'd think people who use Ozbargain would be savvy enough to check their appropriate app when they know deals are offered.
Who has their notifications on for KFC of all apps? I would have though the people who use ozBargain would be the sort to ask apps not to track, and disable notifications for the majority of apps they don't want spam from.
To these people, this post would be useful as most people wouldn't even order from KFC often enough (let alone use the app) to realise there was a new deal on the app.

You should also have received another deal labelled "kfc for you". Those are the targeted deal. $8 for 8 wicked wings is online offer available on any app.
I created a new kfc account 2 weeks ago, and still never received a targeted offer. So I think you need to have at least made 1 purchase to start getting them.
Ordered this deal yesterday (NSW), got some really old and stale wings - it was undermarinated too.
I think I'll go back to the Hot & Spicy (4pcs @ $6.95) which is usually more consistent at my local.

The standard wicked wings are not marinated at all, but battered.
I don't know if you remember when wicked wings were first introduced, underneath the batter there was some bright red sauce, which was actually spicy. A similar bright red sauce appears under the batter of the Hot & Spicy.
Gradually the appearance of this marination sauce for the wicked wings decreased until maybe 2019, which was the last time I saw it on the meat.
The last time cola wings were available, I did manage to swap wicked wings for cola wings since it was the same price, but I had to ask in store, not on app. Didn't ask this time though.

I double checked the store I was picking up from and when I paid at the checkout, the location had randomly changed to another store which was further away.
Didn't want to cancel because I'd lose out. But I did lose out. Had to drive 20 mins to get there. Then my order got forgotten, so another 20 min wait and the chicken I got was all little drumsticks. No wings at all.

People like me take them all when I ask for all mid-wing, no mini drumsticks haha. I don't know if they're supposed/allowed to or not, but the staff don't seem to care most of the time. People like you who don't ask get chucked what's left! I'm sorry!
