  • 20 framers per second?

    • good for 20 farmers per month?

  • I'd love to know what people are using something like this for.

Fauna survey & monitoring would be my guess.

To get photos or videos of nocturnal home invaders animals

Setting up on wildlife trails when out hunting to see if there is animal movement in a certain area. I've used one to see what was stealing my tomatoes.

    • Trying to figure out why the orange neighbourhood stray cat strolls into our backyard just to slouch down and chill (the chooks are safely out of reach) at a similar time each night. Perhaps there are mice around and it's non-conspicuously checking them out?

      Hunting fridge lunch thieves.

Slap some laxatives in tomorrow's lunch and you'll find the culprit.

      Alone

    • See what was eating the eggs in the pen and then how it got in and out …. monitor lizard up and over the kopper log post, claws through the wire.

Yes, caught a rat eating veges in the patch and a possum eating tomatoes.

Is that a solar panel i see on camers? I guess then must use lithium rechargeable batteries with solar panel?

    • That would be IR for night time

Gift for the ex sorted. Just placing these on the lamp post outside the house.

    • Don't trust the AVO huh?

  • No Wi-Fi streaming. So, you will need to take the SD card out to view the captured footage.
I think I will stick with Reolink cams for catching those possums (or rats?) that are raiding my vege patch.

    • I want some trail cams that have this feature but don’t know the recommended ones to buy. Do you know of any solid trail cams that have the wifi feature you’d easily reccommend?

        Reconyx. Not cheap.

        • Ooph definitely pricey. Bookmarking for future though, thanks. Anything with wifi motion alert that’s the best in the $299 price bracket is what I’ll keep researching.

@Edamamme: I've been seriously considering this one for a while now at around $150.00
            https://www.amazon.com.au/BlazeVideo-Infrared-Wildlife-Activ…

It has all the features I want like no glow night vision, 32mp, wifi, fast motion activated photos and video.
Blazevideo appear to be good quality from what I have seen.

Watch content and record off your phone if you like.

A price point where the "Minister of Finances" won't smack me with a rolling pin if I do get it.

I share a fence with the forest and national park, so I'd love to set one up with the crazy amount of wildlife we have here.

            • @rattle: This looks to be the perfect feature to price ratio I’ve seen! Thank you! I know, I really want to track wildlife in our backyard, and finally see if the Microbats live under my
House haha. What’s stopped you from buying already besides the hand that wields the rolling pin?

  • Perfect for the toilets
