Gooloo would be a bit more useful though with type-c 100W charging and DC barrel outputs?

    • Tbf the one you posted is $240 vs $100…

I ended up buying one direct in US whilst I was on a short trip there…

        There’s a $90 coupon, so it’s $149.99

$90 coupon, bringing it to 150, and it has higher CCA.

Lithium ones are far smaller and lighter, and doesn't self discharge or self destruct if you use it while not fully charge.

I'd never buy another lead-acid car starter again!

Better off with the powerbank stuff tbh. Atleast you can keep it in the car (somewhere cool).

I bought the ozito one from bunnings and was able to jump start a 2.3L petty atleast 15 times before it dropped 25% charge (broken alternator and all the mechs were closed for holidays).

Can I ask why you can’t keep this one in the car?

  • I was a firm believer on these but after buying a Powerbank style and having a collection of classic v8 cars i wouldnt go back.
I can effectively jump start a car 3-4 times that has a low battery and it easily charges of a phone cable.

These are moreso really good for mechanics or the kind of person whos constantly messing about with cars and really needs to be constantly jump starting.

If your just getting it for a bit of assurance and safety powerbank style whilst more expensive is a much better purchase and is 1/8th the size

  • Also buy a good battery charger that can trickle charge make your battery last heaps longer if you have a car does not get used a lot.
I do this and only once in a blue moon need to use a jump starter.

This looks like it just has a 12v 7Ah battery inside a glorified plastic case

    • It is. I have an old school model which is just that, though I think the battery in mine is 12AH
