It could be targeted, not showing on my account.

  • Not for my store I guess. Bugger.

This is the grammar police chief. Please come to my office now! We need to have a chat.

      • +1

        How got?

      • But I don't go to a grammar school, I go to a less academic secondary modern school.

  • +7

Amazing how fast we went to never ordering at all from them after the price rises.

    • I have not ordered from them for 3mths now and found when you weigh up the costs the local pizza store is cheaper even when Domino's has a special.

      • +10

local pizza store is cheaper even when Domino's has a special

Huh? Does your local pizza store sell large pepperoni pizzas for less than $3?

        • No, But don't order a pepperoni pizza and when ordering supreme pizzas I need less for the same amount of pizza so 2 pizzas instead of 4 pizzas and better quality.

      • +7

How? Local pizza prices here are +$20

        • +1

I've got 3 locals and they range from $15-$21

      • I haven’t had Domino’s since the start of the pandemic. Avoiding food made by most likely unhygienic teenagers made me realise how easy it is to make your own food, nothing more so than pizza.

  • +11

    $3 is all they're worth.

  • +4

Im not sure if its just my local store, but the pizza is just so bad.

    • +5

Dominos has gone into the trash after lockdown finished. Now its just like eating cardboard

No, you need to open the box first!!!

I have always loved Dominos, my local Indian pizza store…

I think Pepperoni has always been one of their best pizzas but the amount of pepp' on my last order was so low that I thought I wouldn't be back as the shark was jumped…

…But for $3 I am going back today… I will spend an extra $2 on ore pepp'

They used to take photos of the pizzas and show you online, but they don't anymore because there's not much to show for…

    • +4

The last pepperoni I got was absolutely swimming with pepperoni and even had extra sauce. Win some lose some though….

    • +2

Plus the slices of pepp are so thin you can see through it

    • +1

Last time I had Domino's I got Loaded Pepperoni with extra pepperoni - it still had just 3-4 slices per slice, feels like not even half of what it used to be.

      • +2

I had the same issue, complained to Dominos and got a free pizza voucher.

        • +1

          Did it taste good?

          • +1

@Heaps for Cheaps: Not really :(

Pepperoni is the only pizza I can tolerate from Dominos since my local started to scrimp on toppings. Was hoping that at least they would at least have a cover of toppings on Loaded Pepperoni, but it looked just like a standard Pepperoni.

Haven't even used the voucher yet as I'm not looking forward to being disappointed again.

@randome: What's the going rate for average variable entitlement these days?

  • +4

Signed up just to post this, love your work, although, I won't use the code lol

  • No deal on the app for me. Definitely targeted.

    • +3

I think you need to select a corporate owned store for this to work. Not a franchise one.

      • How do you tell?

        • Cant tell from app or website. You just have to know the store from previous experience

        • The receipt.

  • Not available :(

  • Ordered and pep was triple stacked on Swan Richmond thanks op

  • +5

I saw mine as the worker was boxing it and it didn't even look like a pepperoni pizza so I lifted the lid before paying and it literally had 4 pieces on it. Hardly any cheese too, made it look almost like ham & pineapple??? Worker reckons because it's a promotion they make it differently with 5-10 slices. Just left because I don't fancy eating a pizza base with some sauce on it…

  • +11

"Large" is subjective. This is nothing more than a snack for some!

    • +2

Their large is medium. Their pictures highly misleading. Time someone took them to consumer affairs to give them a shakeup. We've taken our business elsewhere. $3 is a ridiculously low price, obviously a loss leader

      • Their large is actually more like a small, at least it is if you compare sizes to Domino's USA.

      • +1

Their average variable cost per pizza was $2 in 2007, sure costs have risen a lot but I'd expect their average variable cost per basic pepperoni pizza is still well under $3

        • -3

Cost based on what? Power, wages, franchise, packaging, insurance, rent, materials…. They (all) have variable costs depending on size, location, turnover etc.

              @dwarves: Dropout V Dropkick

How were your numbers arrived at?

Averages are next to meaningless for franchises even if we believe what you wrote. In general averages are statistically misleading. Even more meaningless when Dominos says it spends on average $5 per pizza on ingredients alone, for obvious reasons.

As obvious as it is: "Individual stores may experience expense variations from the figures specified in each of the categories. Additionally, accounting, operational and management methods employed by a store, different geographic areas of the country, number of households in the delivery service area, and menu price variations, among other factors, may significantly affect profitability in any given operation".

              This might help: https://digirestro.in/how-much-it-cost-for-dominos-to-make-p…

              • +2

@Igaf: lol you’re the one who thinks rent and insurance are variable costs

                buh bye now

                • -3

@dwarves: No I agree. Rent and insurance costs don't ever vary, and every franchise has the same rent, insurance etc costs, and they all have the same level of sales.

    • It makes it easier for one person to eat the whole thing without feeling too guilty, IMO

  • +1

This might help some of y'all out.
It didn't show up for me but I pick up, put in my post code, selected my closest store and then it showed up as a pop-up in the middle of the screen before it allowed me to order.

  • i wish they did cheap and more-ish vego pizzas. only cheese and margherita are just boring

  • I got it. Thanks OP

I ordered a Hawaiian pizza the other day, I only received 3 pieces of pineapple. Would you take it back? I couldn't be bothered.

    • +7

Wouldn't need to take it back, just call the store for a free one.

  • +1

    so which stores got selected?

  • +2

Colour me crazy but that offer could have something to do with this article, seems like they're trying to bring back customers with a possible loss-leader in the hopes they buy other items where they make their massive mark-ups. That article refers to 'Order Volumes' which have dropped, what better way to bring back volumes.

I will not support them until they change their 'Large' pizza size back to how a 'Large' pizza should be (eg. Like every other non-corporate / non-conglomerate owned pizza chain) and don't stinge on topping, at an acceptable price.

$3 is $3, but that's a temporarily deal, and likely a PR 'Bring back the volume' move, it's a move they will keep in reserve for when they want more.
At the end of the day their pizzas are over-priced and under-sized

    • I will not support them until they change their 'Large' pizza size back to how a 'Large' pizza should be (eg. Like every other non-corporate / non-conglomerate owned pizza chain) and don't stinge on topping, at an acceptable price.

Domino's pizzas have been anaemic for years. I think I recall even back in 2016 their pizzas were tiny. Probably even further back before that.

Honestly don't know why people eat Domino's, Pizza Hut is more expensive but the pizzas are better overall IMO; much heftier compared to Domino's.

Voucher code is 888934 but not accepted by knox, ferntree gully or vermont south stores in victoria

Figured I'd try my luck as a cheap after work snack. Ordered deep pan and either my pizza collapsed or deep pan is basically classic crust now. Decent amount of pepperoni and cheese but wow picked up a slice and it was literally dripping with grease. There certainly weren't anywhere near that much toppings.

Even for $3, it was pretty average.

    • +1

Pepperoni by nature is quite fatty so pepperoni pizzas are normally quite greasy. Maybe the pepperoni on your pizza happened to have a lot higher fat content than usual for some reason, sounds nasty though.

  • No 3 buckerooni pizza here….

… probably no loss either TBH

  • Value range has gone up 20%, damn

  • Can upgrade to traditional pizza for $4 extra

    • +1

I'll just take the $3 pizza home and air fry extra ingredients to put on top myself

  • +2

Probably 8 pieces of pepperoni on top and half the cheese lol.

  • not working for me

  • Please state which stores this works at.

  • Works in sunnybank qld

  • not working for Myaree, WA.
